1. The room had a strong mildew smell that hit us when we opened the door. It was so strong that when I got my pajamas out of my suitcase at our next stay the next night, the pajamas still smelled of mildew. 2. The hotel was being rehabbed, the carpets inside the room were dirty, the smell of paint in the hallway was intense enough to make my wife have a headache. Also, the elevator was broken. Despite all these problems, we had to pay full cost: we had a stay worth maybe $50-$70, but we paid well over $100 more than that. 3. Much less important, but also irritating was trying to connecting to wifi. When I went to sign in, I was led directly to a page that implied that the only way I could have free wifi was to join Hilton Honors. So I filled out the information on that page. When I did so, I was informed that I was already a member of Hilton Honors, and the page said that I would have to sign in via the Hilton Honors webpage--but it did not give me a link to do so. At no point did the system actually take me to the wifi sign in, and I just decided to go to bed.
