The Riverside

Loved our stay here, really nice small tocuhes in the room, the pub itself is great with an amazing river view I would highly recommend this accommodation

I honestly could not fault my stay at Riverside. The room was clean and tidy and there was plenty of choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. My son loved all the biscuits and the little room with the single bed in. In the morning we went to the pub for breakfast and it was one of the best breakfasts I’d had in a long while.

Very convenient for the Thames Path walk. Not so easy to get to by public transport.

From start to finish we had a great 1night stay. Only down full was no breskfast served during the week, but this did not spoil our stay . Will defo return

Great place in the hands of people who don't care if you are happy or not, bad attitude

This place is fantastic and they do all the hard things well. Location, staff, cleanliness and amenities. The one thing I would criticize is the mattress is terrible as in some 1970s spring torture device. If they fixed that I would never want to leave.

I visited the Riverside pub in Lechlade with family and for the last time! The food was not great but worse yet the service we recieved was extremly poor. The girl behind the bar (Jade) in particular was rude, unhelpful and unwelcoming throughout our visit. I ordered a chicken and bacon salad and was very disappointed with what was brought out, it was mostly a plate of lettuce leaves - and not a great one at that with some parts wilting - but also there was a very sparce amount of pepper and one tiny slither of red onion that I would even question what the point to putting it on the 'salad' was. When she brought over an additional bread roll as part of a family members meal I said to her the salad wasn't great and she rolled her eyes and just as quick she took the plate and walked away. There was not once an attempt to ask what was wrong with the salad. I was quite shocked at how rudely she has dealt with the situation and thought maybe she would come back or send a manager over but she did not so I sat with family whilst they all ate their food around me. Upon leaving we spoke with a man ( Gareth) who looked to be in charge as he was wearing a shirt, and his people skills were really not any better, he simply stood there and said he sells 60+ salads a week and that I'm the only one with a problem and whilst turning to leave I recieved a sarcastic smile from Jade and could hear her giggling as we left - I honestly believe that my 6 year old has better manners than the staff I encountered today. I would not recommend the so called salads that they produce her and I would definelty not recommend the service!
