the staff that greeted us was aggressive and rude,i sent a e mail requesting breakfast which was available on request, thas was not honoured,the floor of the bedroom had a severe slope,which with socks/bear feet was dangerous. it was noisy,
This is not a hotel it is a high street pub with rooms,this HOTEL is not fit for purpose has a hotel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We arrived and found a table and asked for menu After waiting for a good 15 minutes i went and found my own We both had the burger which was nice but stone cold !! , My gripe was the bottle of malbec we ordered which was £29.00 it was a nice bottle that retailed on line at £9.50 that's just greed and way over priced for the venue

The service was great and the locationanazing. The walls however were very thin and we could hear all the noise from the pub and the kitchen downstairs in the morning.
Also there was an emergency exit light in the room which was very large and therefore it lit the whole room up and disturbed our sleep.

Nice bar, dog friendly, and courteous staff. However our meal was totally underwhelming, not the best value for money! Turkey lunch comprised two slices of meat, two roast potatoes and a tiny portion of watery cabbage at £18 , sorry but wouldn’t eat here again.

Really nice family room and dogs welcome for extra charge. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Only drawback is that front rooms are opposite the town clock that, for reasons best known to them, have the bells chime throughout the night, all night. Did not get any sleep on the first night, managed to buy some earplugs for the 2nd night.

We really liked this hotel/pub. The building is very atmospheric and right in the centre of town. The room was good, large and clean. The restaurant is at the back of the pub and is half inside and half outside (under an awning). We had dinner, and then breakfast the following morning. The food was very good and the staff were efficient, friendly and attentive.

Good location and quant old building, room was bit outdated but big and seemed clean, would of been nice to have some milk in the room so we could of made a drink in the morning especially as no breakfast was available However are more annoyed we were given the wrong key code to get back into the property, we ended up waking other residents to let us in which is not fair due to being late at night and could of resulted in us being locked out if they hadn’t of helped us, there was nobody on site or via the phone to contact and after checking in the morning once light and we could see what we were doing it should of been a Y not a C so wasn’t our error would of been nice to have checked out in person so we could of mentioned this but there was nobody onsite in the morning I think this needs to be addressed for future travellers as it caused quite a panic!
