The hotel service is at top standard. The check in is sufficient and they offer welcome drinks in any selection from the the menu. The room is very clean with nice environment next to the woodlands, extremely good location, make it so convenient for visitors come to hike and ride. The restaurant is at top quality and many local people come for lunch and dinner. Each uniit in the hotel has its own outdoor sitting with table and chairs. We joined our stay.

This is our second visit to this hotel; our first visit was 5+ and left the most pleasant memories.
The hotel is clean, cozy, and discreet. The bed linens are beautiful, the furniture is modern and comfortable, and the toiletries are of very good quality (shampoo, conditioner, etc.). The kitchen is well-equipped: a dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, and all the dishes are excellent. A special plus is the included dishwashing liquid (dishwasher tablet, detergent, two types of cloths, etc.).
The rooms are thoughtfully designed and very comfortable (you feel right at home).
The location is amazing, within walking distance of Arcachon Bay (1 km) and the ocean (approximately 8 km). The place is idyllic.
However, there were some nuances on our second visit that left a bad taste in our mouths. We initially booked two days, then decided to add an extra night. Since the difference between these two bookings was only 8 euros per night, I didn't even notice that one was for a classic cabin and the other for a superior cabin. The hotel noticed this and sent a notice that I could pay an extra 60 euros per night to stay in the superior cabin. If my booking had been cancellable, I would have simply canceled both bookings and created one. Instead, I simply wrote to the hotel asking if they could accommodate us for all three days in the cheaper booking class (I agreed to downgrade the already paid booking). Then Trip.com sent me the same information, and I confirmed that I didn't plan to upgrade my second booking by paying extra, and they also wrote to the hotel to confirm this (the client agreed to the downgrade, but not to move from room to room). Upon check-in, the same question arose again: you have two bookings and you either need to move or pay extra. I again asked to be accommodated immediately at a lower rate, as I rightly assumed there were plenty of accommodation options during the off-season. I mentioned, "Doesn't it seem strange to you that we traveled 3,000 kilometers to get to you, came a second time, and agreed to a downgrade, only to be moved to a different room after 24 hours?" They accommodated us. Indeed, we weren't moved. However, upon checkout, they billed us an additional €80 per night. Of course, after hearing my confusion about this, they immediately cancelled the bill, but a bad feeling remained.
In this regard, I would like to urge the hotel to more carefully review customer correspondence to avoid unnecessary communication and unnecessary negativity.
I would also like to point out that we have a language barrier.
I am writing this review without any negativity, but purely for informational purposes. I am not lowering my rating because of this bad feeling, because if there is paradise on earth, it is on this peninsula.

Domaine du Ferret is a residence for seminars and large groups that reserve the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The swimming pool is also full then. Not relaxing for a holiday. Limited restaurant choice nearby and far from the beach.

I love this place. The only downside was that during our visit from March 29th to 31st, the restaurant was not open and we had not been informed of this.

Great country getaway! We were there out of season, and the pool was closed. You need to drive to get to a restaurant or store. Perfect for a private getaway with family! Delicious breakfasts!

Before describing overall experience, a warning to those travelling with small kids, small dogs and cats. Or even big dogs too. We've seen two big dogs roaming well ahead of their owners without a leash on the common road. This is a common main road between lodges, thus there are a lot of lodges/terraces on both sides of the road. One of the dogs entered our living room, literally. It was sniffing around. Probably, because we had our cat with us, who was, thankfully, on another side of the terrace, not the side that is easily accessible from that common road. I firmly said 'no' after which it left. The owner saw everything, but continued walking like its normal without saying a word. God knows what could have happened if our cat was on another side of the terrace, or if we had small kid with us. Even though, it is illegal to allow big dogs to walk without a leash in common public spaces, some people think they are above the law. We have informed reception twice about this case. They did not apologise and just said it is not normal. Well, yes, thank you. We know that which is why we complained to you. Needless to say, after this we were on alert more than necessary. About the lodges. The location is very nice. Smell of pine forest is fantastic. Ocean is very near with many beaches. The layout of the lodges is also designed to ensure privacy and relaxation. We were also pleasantly surprised by the availability of all necessary things in the bathroom, kitchen and apartment overall. Bed was comfortable, apartment was clean and everything worked. There was also enough storage for two people. Overall, it was enough space too to feel relaxed. Swimming pool was beautiful and is slightly heated, which is really pleasant. The swimming pool in the spa is nice too, but the open one we enjoyed more due to view. It can get noisy though, due to kids, and then going to spa is a good idea. Steam room is modern and cute, we enjoyed it. Sauna is in a cabin outside of the building, but in the spa area near the pool. Should be nice during cold weather, but it did not seem to work when we were there. Staff was polite and nice overall, although when I tried checking spa it was clearly an annoyance rather than an enthusiastic welcome. All because one, apparently, needs a clean slippers to go there which was not communicated by some reason immediately. Instead, I was kin of blamed for not knowing it after having already seen the spa in a 'yes, that's why we don't show spa' fashion. Never had a situation I was not shown spa before booking. Overall, we will return. But if there will be another big dog in our living room next time, then this is not a safe place for us as much as we love dogs. Management should enforce strict rules un their public spaces. We've travelled a lot and never had this situation before.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The lodges are pleasant and there are good facilities and a good restaurant. We felt some things could be improved such as a rug for the chairs to minimise the scraping noise from other lodges, which can be quite grating. The outdoor pool was only warm enough on our final day.

We greatly enjoyed our four day stay here. The location is quiet and you do need to drive to the best beaches, however, the beach at Le Truc Vert is simply sublime and one of the best in Europe. We stayed in one of the superior lodges which I would recommend for the small price difference. The terrace areas are more private and this added greatly to our enjoyment. The lodge was well equipped and comfortable. The bed was particularly comfortable and with great air conditioning we slept exceptionally well. The kitchen in the lodges is not I tended for proper cooking. It’s more for serving simple meals or prepared foods from elsewhere. There is an excellent Super U at then entry to to the hotel and we found everything we wanted there. You can cycle to the various oyster sellers or buy rotisserie chicken in the village. Staff at the hotel were young and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again for the quality of the accommodation and for easy access to some of the best beaches I have seen in Europe.

Nicely situated lodge resort. The domain is clean and quiet, nicely and modern decorated . Great spa area with indoor and outdoor swimming pool. Very pleasant staff. Tip: take the superior lodges. The difference in price is justified by their location. The restaurant offeres very nice food. The sunday brunch is warmly recommended.
