The Dolon House Bed and Breakfast

I cannot say enough good things about this B&B. The hosts, Michael and Jeffri, are friendly, helpful and a delight to talk to. The breakfasts are superb (Jeff's the cook), Michael keeps it all flowing in the dining room (and you'll learn so much about the area from him as he serves breakfast). We stayed in Ellen's room, which was spacious and comfortable. Every little amenity is there. The common areas are comfy and you never know what fun folks you'll meet. And if you're lucky, Pearl (the dog) may grace you with an appearance. The location, in the heart of Jim Thorpe, is amazing -- right across from the Mauck Chunk Opera House, where we lucked into a show on the night we arrived. Definitely want a return visit to Dolon House!

Outstanding, Excellent, One of the very best!! So many adjectives to describe this amazing B&B. Was treated so warmly from the moment I arrived until I departed. Kudos to the owners Michael and Jeffri for not missing a detail in the room accommodations, the amenities and the spectacular breakfast! The location probably the best in Jim Thorpe, walkable to everything. Even the water pressure in your showers, baths and sinks are just right. Absolute professionals and knowledgeable in Inn keeping, the history of the building and town and of course cuisine. After staying at The Dolon House, I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Jim Thorpe or the Poconos for that matter. Can't wait to go back!

One of the most charming places to stay ever. The proprietors, Michael an Jeffri attended to our every need. The food and presentation at breakfast is a wonderful and unique experience. My wife, myself and several friends have come here several times and look forward to the next time.

My husband and I chose The Dolon House for our anniversary getaway to Jim Thorpe, and could not have been more delighted. The Dolon House checks every box you ever had for a B&B -- comfortable, friendly, accommodating, personal, lovely, convenient, and full of wonderful food and conversation -- then elevates it to a level of concierge service and detailed charm that creates an unparalleled experience. Part of the charm is the place itself -- magnificently appointed, optimally located, and unfailingly warm and inviting. But the real magic is in the people who own, care for, and share the space with guests: Jeffri is the genius behind every locally-sourced and creative masterpiece that comes out of the kitchen, and Michael is the consummate host who remembers your every preference, offers the perfect recommendations, and has a fantastic story to tell in just about any situation. The care and personality and love they infuse into The Dolon House make it an intersection of history, art, culinary delight, and, well, home. If you want a B&B that gives you the warmth of family and the joy of getting away somewhere special at the same time, The Dolon House is your spot!

The owners Michael and Jeffrey are the best. They make you feel at home from the moment you arrive until you check out. The Dolan house décor is filled with love and charm, the Garret room where we stayed was very cozy and comfortable. Did I mention that the breakfast which was included was second to none. Hard to imagine finding a better Bed and Breakfast in Jim Thorpe.

You must visit this quaint and charming bed and breakfast if you are staying in Jim Thorpe Pa. Our hosts were amazing and attentive to every detail. Our room was comfortable and clean with a big comfy bed. Jeffery and Michael served a delicious breakfast for the two days of our stay. Michael was amazing and eloquently served breakfast while enlightening the guest what we were about to be served and offering historical information and fun facts about Jim Thorpe. The entire weekend was throughly enjoyable. We felt right at home and will definitely be back again.

Owners treated us with disrespect and were condescending. They offered no assistance with our WIFI issues. The owner dismissed our concerns and blamed a ghost was causing our failed internet connection. The room smelled musty and the fridge was noisy. Also, there was no television in our room. The lack of hospitality and the inability to make phone calls and receive them created an uncomfortable situation causing us to leave the establishment. The owners made no effort to assist or accommodate us in any way. The next day we received a call from the owner accusing us of taking the room key and that we would be charged for taking it.

The property was very central. You can walk anywhere from property and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area
