Fantastic breakfast and spacious and comfortable room.

Nice clean room, friendly staff, and breakfast was great. Bathroom was a bit tired, but otherwise a nice hotel.

Super spot – Felt like coming home!   Stayed during week 2 of renovations at our home. Wish I had booked in for the first week too now in hindsight –   Establishment is clearly well run with exceptional service being delivered by Ryan – who always went above and beyond with a barrage of requests- and Simona on a management level.   From a Food perspective Brad and Kyle (to mention only 2 of the kitchen brigade) consistently churned out top quality food using superb ingredients. Always delivered in a presentable and delicious fashion.   Extra special shout outs to – Layla, Joe and Tyler FOH. Thank you guys. Keep on keeping on!   Its worth pointing out that the building is several centuries old – that said any issue I had with water pressure was sorted in a good fashion – thank you Ryan.   I am checking out tomorrow and Room 22 has left an impression, one which I am sure I will utilise again. Housekeeping do a super job and I personally like the odd cobweb for authenticity! Keep it up.   Thank you all for your superb service and I will CC in Jonathan and the guest services dept at HQ. My dad booked for me last minute, he has stayed here before and told me how nice it was! I was down on a business trip, I arrived at about 10ish. The staff and manager were lovely and helpful, got me checked in and the room was lovely, cosy and warm. The bed was really comfy and I had one of the best nights sleep. It is in a lovely quiet location. Breakfast was delicious as well and plenty to choose from with a continental breakfast and cooked options.

An amazing place with really good quality furniture fixtures and fittings let down unfortunately by not being very clean. Sink was dirty. The fan unit in the bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for literally years. At night with the lights on you could see thick dust on the wall paper and curtains. What a shame, lovely old building that’s clearly had lots spent on it but not maintained.

The room was freezing cold on arrival and didn't really heat up very much at all using the radiator which was there, which I turned onto full as soon as I arrived. Cleanliness was average but the room was a 'little tired' and would benefit from new carpet and some re-touching of the paintwork etc. The bathroom was average but really needs some re-design as quite dated with some DIY looking fixings in places. The hot water took a long time to come through, which was frustrating as it meant a lot of wasted water to get it to come through warm. The meal was fine, but definitely nothing to write home about. Given the prices, it should have been better to reflect not only better value but other similar restaurants. VERY disappointing to be served a chilled bottle of red wine, which completely ruined a £30 bottle of wine. You definitely need 3 course as the portions were small. The dessert was the best part. We were served by 4 different staff at the same table none of home wore a uniform or even a logo on the t-shirt, so identifying who was staff when I needed assistance was difficult. Overall, it was fine, but there are much better options available. This could be a fabulous experience as the hotel is located in a nice location. Hopefully, this feedback will help the hotel improve and reach it potential.

A nice characteristic hotel in the centre of the village. All Rooms were rustic but very comfortable. The only minor issue was the menu in the restaurant which was quite limited and expensive, but what we had was very nice. The staff were extremely friendly.

Quiet, comfortable, clean. Toiletries were excellent. Food was very good.
