Many smaller towns are grouped together in the “larger district” of Lennestadt. So we reached the district of Kirchveischede on the B55. We found enough space in the free parking lot. At the reception we received all the important information for the vacation days. Unfortunately the hotel doesn't have an elevator, so we were happy to get a room on the 1st floor away from the noisy main road. The room made a cozy impression, no sloping walls, a large balcony with a table and 2 (collected) chairs, but only partially covered with green plastic flooring! The view of the dirty porch was not a pretty sight. In the room there was a larger table with 2 armchairs and plenty of other storage space. The carpet seemed clean. The bathroom, which was tiled, had enough space for our utensils, but the toilet was very poorly positioned directly in front of the shower corner, too little space, an imposition even for smaller people. Shower utensils were very sp****. The curtain in the bathroom wasn't particularly attractive with a number of dirt stains. We would probably have slept better in the beds in the quiet area if the mattresses hadn't been so soft or sagging. The free WiFi was often disrupted. The breakfast buffet, advertised as “rich”, was very manageable. In addition, refills were only hesitant, and some things stopped at all after 9 a.m. (it was open until 10 a.m.)! Some things were only made on request, not exactly cheap, as you obviously have to pay extra. The half board menu for dinner was unimaginative and just about satisfied us in this country hotel. Even though the staff was very friendly and accommodating, we can only give it a rating of satisfactory.
