3-Star Hotels in Leon

Built in the 14th century in 1370, this building provides the location of this quaint hotel that is centrally located right at the beginning of the desirable and touristy “barrio húmedo” section of León. Within a short walking distance to all shops, restaurants, bars and the main attraction, the Leon Cathedral, you’ll never be far from anything you could want. There’s a restaurant in the hotel that I heard was very good (although on the pricey side) but I never ate there. The local bars and cafe’s all serve tapas gratis with any beverage ordered and there’s no shortage of places to eat! The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful and even though they have set hours at the front desk, every guest gets their own code to get in if it’s past those hours. I’d read that since it’s an old building, that the walls are thin and it can get quite loud, especially if you are closer to street level or over restaurant. I was on 3rd floor and had no issues. Sometimes you could hear people coming in late and the old wood floors creak a little, but it never bothered me and guests were pretty respectful. Nice large tub and shower area. Small tv, that I never used once…no need to when there’s so much nearby to do! I’d stay here again for sure!

En cuanto al servicio del personal el trato amable de Mari Paz con sus detalles y decoracion , las instalaciones impecables, a destacar tambien la atencion perfecta de la directora Adela , la calidad de la comida,exquisita, la gestión de todo lo que conlleva una celebración así es de una gran profesionalidad y un trato exquisito, sin duda nos hemos quedado encantados y satisfechos con el servicio que nos han prestado, 100% recomendable, sin lugar a dudas.

Read the reviews on here and was worried what to expect, however it exceeeded our expacttions and is well worth short sty break. Parking alongsde is ideal if driving and easy to find , instructons spot on Checkin great, really good English on reception thankfully, and walk to rooms was like an antique centre with beutifaul pieces everywhere harking back to its heritage as a convent. Its really close to main town as well, so 5 minute walk downhill and your at the cathedral and top of town. Didn't see a hotel bar as such, however its only a base. Rooms basic but good, although air con needs to crank up a bit. Now the best bit, we bookd one of their music dinners in the clositers, a sort of modern music type event (they do classics as we). lots of tables laid out, perfromer area all n the gardens, then a fantastic 5 coure meal and flowing wine made for a great night, all for about 60 euro each. Superb evening Breakfast was the only let down for us, really poor selection of food, not replenished , and had to clear our own table 3 mornings in a row as no staff anywhere. This is not a top end luxury hotel with super attentive service, its a quirky older hotel as a base for exploring and fantastic evening entertnment some nights.

Terrific hotel located in the heart of old town near the cathedral and Gaudi building. It’s Comfortable, charming, and has tons of amazing little touches which felt both authentic and modern at the same time. Stay here - you won’t be disappointed. Our only warning: If you have a car - pay for the parking underground garage in lieu of the free parking lot ‘nearby.’ The lot is close by foot, but I endured some white knuckled driving to reach it because the route wraps around the old town which prohibits most vehicle traffic. Lastly, make sure to find and enjoy the barrio humedo if you like to party. The so-called ‘wet’ neighborhood certainly deserves its name.

We stayed in the hotel portion of the complex not the ”Albergue” side. Clean, modern hotel. Easy walk to bus or train station (we walked from the train station). Close to restaurants and sights. We were doing the Camino de Santiago and received our rented electric bicycles at Hospederia Monastica Pax. They have a court yard in back where we received and stored our bikes until we were ready to start riding. This option was obviously very important in our choosing this hotel. A good option for a restaurant would be ”Los Cazurros” in Plaza San Martin. An easy 10 min walk as you make your way to the ”Plaza Mayor”. Nice large stairs and hallways. Decent sized room and bathroom. Large tiled shower with glass door. Liquid soap and shampoo provided (even toothbrush/ toothpaste/ comb/ shave kit!!). Very quiet at night. We had window facing back that can be opened to let fresh air in (No screen as is common in Europe). A/C worked very well, we were amazed at how silent it was. We chose not to have the Breakfast at 15 Euros as we found it too expensive. We found a place that opens EARLY for coffee and croissants at about 49 Calle la Rua. There were no other places open in the immediate vicinity for an early coffee. We recommend and would definitely repeat again.

The hotel is very good, the hotel staff are very enthusiastic, gave us maps, printed tickets, the hotel environment is very good, you can see the University of Leon directly, behind it is a big supermarket, the hotel can cook, my fiancee and I made porridge, Boiled noodles, the bus is also convenient, 6 roads and 1 road can be reached, it is worth living

The front desk service is warm and standardized. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. The location of the hotel is simply good, walking to the train station, about one kilometer to various major attractions. The restaurant buffet breakfast is also good.

The hotel seems nice when you enter but when leaving the ground floor all is really old and my room was awful. It was a single room and it was way to small. Even the bathroom was really uncomfortable. To close the door you had to change the place of the bin, when seated in the toilet the knees were touching the tub (and I and not tall at all). The room was in the second floor facing the back and the window was to a small closed space with no ventilation. There was always a strange smell that was really noticeable when entering the room. On the plus side, the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was standard. The staff did not seem really nice or proficient (specially when approached in English).

Stayed for two nights after two weeks walking the Camino. It was our best accommodation of the trip, a large room with a good shower and air conditioning. Breakfast was quite plentiful with fruit, cereal and eggs. The hotel is in the old town and quite close to the cathedral, however the central location means there are lots of bars and restaurants, and we could hear the noise from the street until after 1am on the Friday and even later on the Saturday. Overall though a good hotel, with a restaurant that looked really good, but unfortunately was booked up during our stay.
