My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Les Rives Du Doubs for just one night on our way from France into Switzerland. This is a hotel with character and with a strong emphasis on customer service. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon in late August and discovered that what we expected to be a remote bay was throbbing with visiting tourists. Initially, parking was difficult with so many visitors; some advanced guidance on guest parking would be useful. By the evening it was completely quiet and we dined in the restaurant with just a few other guests. The meal was excellent though the service, which started well, got far too slow by the sweet course. Our room was large and overlooked the lake with opening panoramic windows. It was completely clean and a delight to live in. For us the breakfast was great, though if you’re wedded to an English fry-up you’d be disappointed. We found the cold selection interesting and enjoyable. We would definitely return if we needed accommodation in this area.

Das Essen war mieseste Mensa-Qualität: Bestellt haben wir Filets de Perche; Konsistenz der Filets: Gummi. Geschmack: undefinierbar, lauwarm. Die Frittes kalt und trocken. Sowas aufzutischen ist eine Frechheit. Das einzig Positive: nette Bedienung, schöne Aussicht. Nie wieder!

Hôtel restaurant sur les rives du Doubs. Superbe vue sur le Doubs de la terrasse du restaurant. Accueil mi figue mu raisin. Je voulais y déguster une pizza vu qu il y avait un panneau à l extérieur qui vantait les bonnes pizzas mais pas de pizzas ce soir là. Les autres plats étaient hors de prix. J ai donc pris une bière et une dame blanche. Total 24€. Bon on est en Suisse

We arrived late in the afternoon without pre-booking and received a warm and friendly welcome. The location is amazing and we enjoyed a beautiful view over the river. Sadly we were only staying one night but could easily have stayed longer. The hotel restaurant was fantastic, great quality food and good service. We were travelling with two dogs who were welcomed and there were some good walks from the Hotel. We would definitely return if we were in the area.

Hotel direkt am Lac des Brenets gelegen. Unser Zimmer hatte Aussicht auf den See.
Frühstück erscheint Anfangs klein/beschränkt, aber es ist alles da was man braucht. Es hatte sogar Pancakes.
Hotelanlage etwas in die Jahre gekommen, Spanntepich, kleines Badezimmer und sehr kleiner Fernseher. War aber alles bequem, sauber und gemütlich!
Kostenloser Parkplatz neben dem Hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The location is beautiful, the rooms very comfortable and the meals in the hotel were excellent. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.
