My daughter, granddaughter and I needed a space for two nights so that we could experience Puy du Fou theme park, without stress. Maison Marie Barrault amply fulfilled all our needs, in fact, surpassed them! Catherine's command of English was superb, and my family got to practice our French with Patrick! We learned that dining in France is a 'practiced' art. Catherine made reservations for my family at a local restaurant that had a varied selection so that a finicky pre-teen could eat something and still be gourmet enough for the adults! Catherine did the same thing for us after a long day at the theme park. Patrick gave us excellent directions to a nearby town to see a large Eiffel Tower reproduction. They answered all our questions and were genuinely interested in making our stay memorable. Our large room consisted of two large beds, and both were very comfortable. Being on the outskirts of Les Herbiers, the traffic noise was non-existent, so our sleep was never compromised. Each evening we filled out a meal ticket for our breakfasts, which Patrick skill-fully cooked to perfection the next morning. The Brioche bread was fresh and scrumptious. The fresh coffee, superb. No complaints from the 10-year-old either! The proximity to Puy du Fou, was the only consideration I had when I booked Maison Marie Barrault. But I would not hesitate to use it as a base to explore the northwest part of France for multiple days. So close to the Loire River Valley and the amazing Chateaus, as well as the larger cities of, Bressuire, St. Jean-de-Monts, Cholet, Saint-Nazaire and Nantes. Our two nights with Catherine and Patrick were indeed, one of the highlights of our French vacation! I highly recommend their place for any duration of stay!

Accueil très agréable,beau bâtiment, la chambre était impeccable. Thé et café à volonté sur le palier, une machine Nespresso aurait été un plus mais sinon le reste était parfait. Restaurant de fromages Let it Brie délicieux à 5mn à pied

Si vous cherchez le confort, et le calme, cet établissement est parfait. Outre les excellents services proposés, nous avons surtout apprécié le côté humain et professionnel des propriétaires. Ils sont présents pour vous même pour répondre à des services qui ne font pas partis de leur activité. Vraiment parfait ne changez rien....

Bon séjour, bon accueil Des regrets cependant beaucoup d'équipement piscine (32 degrés ce weekend) pas dispo frigidaire pour client pas en service Un conseil moins de rigueur et plus de simplicité ( lachez vous) cela sera encore mieux AU PLAISIR

A proximité du parc du Puy du fou, la situation est excellente. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et ont à coeur que votre séjour se passe bien. Les lits et oreillers sont très confortables, la chambre est très propre.

Réservation faite pour un petit studio. Disposer d un petit studio est très pratique lorsqu’on prévoit un séjour au puy du fou. Le logement est situé à 13 mn en voiture du parc , vous pourrez donc revenir vous doucher,changer et grignoter un petit bout. Concernant le confort, il y a eu un changement de prioritaires . Les hôtes sont très agréables et aux petits soins. Mais contrairement à certains commentaires,il n y a plus de produits d accueil /bouteille d eau/etc.. Petit bémol par contre le studio,pourtant à la décoration moderne, est un peu vieillissant et mériterait un rafraîchissement (fissures verticales le long du mur, climatisation sur roulettes qui ne marchait pas correctement, pas de savon dans les distributeurs de la salle de douche) La piscine était également fermée. On nous explique qu’on la laisse bâchée pr éviter l évaporation d’eau… (donc évidement elle ne chauffe pas, et n’est donc pas à disposition des clients ). Malgré des journées à plus de 28 degrés. Côté petit déjeuner,c’est correct . Mais revient trop cher pour un petit déjeuner basic. On vous demande de préciser au début de votre séjour ce que vous voudrez déjeuner les différents matins de votre séjour. (Personnellement,2 jours avant,je n’en sais rien..) Peut être envisager une formule de base à 10€, et une option payante en supplément pr avoir d autres viennoiseries supplémentaires pr rester dans votre réelle volonté d éviter le gaspillage. Dommage également de trouver quand on rentre à minuit après le parc , la place de parking attitrée au studio déjà occupée. Ma note 3,5/5..équivalent à 7/10. Nous avons donc passé un bon moment globalement,mais nous le recommanderions pour un court séjour sans rester sur place.

Excellente adresse pour séjourner dans le secteur, chambre très spacieuse, confortable, propre et commodités appréciables après une bonne journée(piscine, jacuzzi). Proximité avec le Puy de Fou parfaite pour profiter pleinement du parc sans se soucier de la route à la fin de journée ou soirée.

A beautiful establishment with very attentive hosts. The rooms were a very good standard and nothing was too much trouble. The grounds are also stunning with a gorgeous pool. It was situated about 10 minutes from Puy du Fou which was ideal for us and our young granddaughter.
