The Georges

Beautifully appointed room, love the heated floor in the bathroom and the heated towel rack. Super comfortable bed. Taps was great for both dinner and breakfast. A very luxurious Inn! And Room 10 is the best, especially with the private balcony, great for sharing an after dinner glass of wine.

Love this place! First class! Love the location, room decor, historic nature, and linens. All fabby! We love to check in, get settled, and go down to TAPS for a drink and dinner. We love the salmon and fish tacos. Breakfast is included and you can eat in, take to your room, or get it to go - easy!

House keeping were excellent. Room very clean nothing to much trouble and all staff very polite and Helpful.Room nice and quiet. Private parking. Central to VMI and Washington and Lee university. Recommend this as best place to stay in Lexington.

My husband and I have been traveling back and forth between MA and SC for years now and Lexington is our stopover point. We were so happy to stumble upon such a lovely town to break up our drive and a large part of that is The Georges. We have stayed there probably 10 times now and cannot rave enough about it. The Georges is just lovely in every way. The rooms are large, comfortable and truly stunning. Their decorator is definitely a cut above the rest! Also a cut above the rest is the cleanliness. I honestly have never stayed in accommodations as well maintained and clean as The Georges. The rooms (and all common areas) are SPOTLESS (and I am a clean freak). The staff is warm, friendly and could not be more accommodating. Breakfast is delicious and morning coffee set out early in each lobby area is such a welcome treat. The location in the heart of downtown Lexington is perfect with many shops, restaurants and cafes close by. We often dine at one of The Georges restaurants (Taps and Haywoods) and the food and service are always terrific. A nice newer addition is Seasons Yield at Haywoods which offers coffee, pastries and a few lunch items until 2 PM. We adore Lexington and The Georges! We would never consider staying anywhere else. It is impeccable in every way and we are so grateful to have found this true gem!

We love staying at the Georges. It is a wonderful, warm, historic-feeling in located in the center is small town Lexington. We come twice a year and always stay here if we can get in. My wife could not come on this trip, so I stayed on a smaller room abutting the street. The room was smaller than most and abutted the street, which was noisy at night on the weekend. The other rooms at the Inn are wonderful.

The room was comfortable, clean and so tasteful as always...I hadn't stayed in The Washington Building since it was The McCampbell Inn...I stayed in a junior sweet that was so spacious and had a gas fireplace...nice touch! I dined at Taps with my son and 8 of his teammates...John ( manager) was so helpful and accommodating despite the restaurant be extremely busy! Kudos to John and his staff for a job well done again...I will be back! Dr V

Love The Georges! After a looooooong day driving it was an oasis of calm and thoughtfulness. Our suite had everything we could possibly need, beautifully done, including heated floors and breakfast made to order. In the most adorable and historic town!

Charming hotel with impeccable service! The rooms are stunning. The location is right in the middle of town, so you can easily walk to campus and around town. The TAPS tavern downstairs is the perfect place to relax with a great cocktail and good food in the evenings.
