Extended Stay America Suites - Lexington - Tates Creek

My daughter reserved this hotel for my husband and I to ta take her daughter ro a gymnastics meet, because she had to work. The room was nothing like the pictures on the website. It was passed outdated. The furniture looked like it came from the junk pile. The exhaust fan over the stove was beyond horrible. The refrigerator was nasty. The bathroom mirror had something white all around the wood frame it. When you sat on the toilet the seat would move. The bed was okay. However, I woke up around 4 because I was itching terribly. And, my arm and legs were whelped up. We asked for ice and they said they didn't have ice. We would have to use the ice trays in the refrigerator. My granddaughter said there weren't any in the fridge and was give two. One was clean the other one wasn't. My granddaughter and husband did not complain of itching. The edge of the ceiling had some kind of spot or mold. We would have checked out and got another hotel, but my daughter had already paid for the rooms and checking around for another hotel most were booked up where we needed to be close to the event. I booked this hotel for my daughter and her 2 friends. My daughter just graduated that day from college and her friends were from out of town. When they entered the room, it smelled like heavy cigarette smoke, the window was wide open and the smoke detector was covered up with a bath towel. Not to mention the pillow cases and sheets had stains on them. This is a NON SMOKING room and it even stated you will be fined if caught smoking! Needless to say, they did not stay at this hotel.

Convenient,clean and quiet. Drink machine wasnt working and there is no ice machine. Called the desk and said there were ice cubes in the trays in the fridge but ours was upside down in fridge

The mattress in the room was worn out and needs to be replaced. The rooms are needing an uplift. The staff was friendly and helpful especially when it came to the area.

It’s very close to most amenities. But the lobby smelled of smoke even though it was a no smoke hotel. But for the price, it’s worth a try

I checked in but didn't stay the night. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and the cot-like beds were crammed in together leaving little walking space. Everything in the room was old, well used and it was just dark and dreary. Not at all like website. Very uncomfortable with the entire feel of the place. Did not feel safe. Apparently, I can't get a refund. Other locations may be great but this one was creepy.

My room had an odd odor upon entering. After a few hours of running the air conditioner, the smell seemed to be better. The traffic noise was very noticeable at night. The room was clean, but the hallways and stairwells were not. This facility showed signs of age and deterioration.
