Quite a bland and basic hotel although they serve a good full breakfast. The bathroom had very few extras i.e only a shower cap, the hot tap in the sink had no water coming from it and the bath tap was jammed solid and wouldn’t open. Good position for the town. The bannisters on the upper level didn’t look grippable to me And the curtains hardly covered the windows

Communal areas good. Room however is in need of upgrading, particularly the bathroom. Grout missing, extractor not working and full of dust and generally looking shabby. The room was excessively hot and unable to turn off radiator ourselves. The staff here though are all amazing and Peter went above and beyond to resolve the heat issue. The breakfast was lovely. I would stay here again, but would upgrade the room.

I stayed at this hotel for nearly a month due to business engagement. The hotel is lovely, food tasty but the staff are excellent!! We experienced some problems with the WiFi, so it was inconvenient... However, the staff were so friendly, helpful and kind that they made our stay extremely enjoyable! 😊👍 I would happily stay there again... It's close to the centre with cafés and pubs, lovely green neat little town! The cathedral is magnificent, there are many places to visit and see... Generally, I loved Lichfield and the hotel. 😍

We had our wedding meal at the Cathedral Hotel. We couldn't have been any happier with the venue. The staff went above and beyond especially Peter he really made our day very special. The food we had was fantastic with all the guest commenting on the food. They arranged the room just as we wished. Again we could not have asked for more. A well recommended place to go

Right it doesn't look like the greatest hotel in the world, but I've stayed at enough places to know that appearances cam be deceptive. My room itself was enormous with a huge window, and the bed was fantastic. Only complaint would be that the shower controls were very awkward, meaning I'd created a sauna before I finally managed to regulate the temperature. Scrambled eggs at breakfast were absolutely tremendous too, and there's plenty of parking.

Check-in was speedy. The room was comfortable and the shower worked well. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was fab. Really enjoyed our two night stay. Easy walking distance to the town.

Have used before & for us staying over one night for a theatre show it was very good. Room adequate, large TV ! No soaps, but I had taken my own just incase, so wasn't an issue at all, room (202) comfortable & bathroom very clean. Staff really helpful..just ask ! Breakfast was excellent, could not fault service or food, good variety of choice. Dining room & tables set up very well Parking at the back. Most important..price was very reasonable & we booked direct with them which allowed us to Park free.

Ok stay hotel very tired rooms need some love and attention - breakfast good
Distance to town good - few minutes stroll into town which was handy. Parking onsite which you pay for at check in but unfortunately was full when we returned at night so not very convenient. Would not stay again despite the staff being very friendly the facilities are lacking.

Excellent hotel and good value. We stayed in a superior room - large, clean, comfortable bed, good shower. Really good breakfast - except poached eggs were hard! Would come again if we come to lIchfield. Only 7 minutes walk to town and cathedral
