We had a great stay at the hotel. The hotel is located near the top of the Lion's Hill and enjoys a panoramic view over the city. It is perfect for those with a car or those looking for easy access for taxis. It's a nice walk down along the cobblestone paths to the ancient town but be prepared for slightly more challenging walk back up. What really sets this hotel apart is the hotel staff. In particular, special thanks to the two gentlemen at the reception and to our butler Jiao Jiao (娇娇). She thoughtfully prepared a breakfast pack for us when we had early starts on day tours and had to miss our breakfasts. She also very kindly helped me deal with some issues on my WeChat app, even though it was her rest day. We stayed in two different rooms during our stay both of which were clean and beautifully appointed. Any issues with the rooms (such as with the lamps) were promptly looked into and resolved by the staff.

It is very close to the ancient town, and there is no problem with eating and drinking. The accommodation is very stylish and the room price is moderate. The corridor outside the cafe is a very good viewing platform. When the weather is good, the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain can be seen very clearly. The breakfast is not bad. I especially recommend the yellow corn cake in Figure 2. It is delicious. There is also afternoon tea on the first day of stay. Drinking freshly ground coffee made by Balango and eating local sweet corners and cakes, it is so comfortable.

The hotel has a great view, and you can see the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the platform. Balang's service is super enthusiastic, and he basically answers questions online 24 hours a day. Overall, it's okay. Breakfast starts at 8 o'clock and there are rice noodles, which is okay. It should be better. There are a few small suggestions. First, the sound insulation is average. One day I was woken up by the sound of dragging a suitcase at around 5 o'clock in the morning. There was no way to prepare some earplugs. Second, I have stayed in many hotels and homestays, but this is the first time that the clothes after washing are hung outside and lost.
