I really liked this hotel because of the design and the warmth of the manager. The manager, "xiao qi"'s family stays in the premises. They have a friendly Samoyed white dog, a shy white cat, and a bird. The concept of the place is "comfort," designed for travellers to have privacy and a quiet place to relax. The reception area opened out to a serene courtyard with a tea house. We spent an afternoon drinking tea and talking to the manager who is knowledgeable about tea and the history of yunnan. It was a peaceful afternoon with the sound of water in the background. Some of the rooms have their own private study area where tired travellers can rest their feet and read a book. U can also wash your clothes there, and it will dry quickly in the hot sun. The manager also helped to call the airline when my friends had problems with their flights, arrange transport for us, gave good recommendations for resturants, fetch us from the Southeast city gate with his bicycle cart when we arrive with our luggage and prompt in his replies. He ferried our luggage to the hotel as no cars are allowed in the old town. Overall, we felt very welcomed and taken care of. Location is also good as it is on the edge of the old town and everything is within walking distance. Definitely value for money, and if I come back to Lijiang, I will stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming guesthouse in Shuhe Old Town. The host welcomed us with great enthusiasm and kindly arranged a very late check-in, which we truly appreciated. Always available and generous, he even treated us to a beautiful traditional tea ceremony — a memorable experience! We loved it so much that we ended up buying some of his family’s locally produced tea to take home. He also recommended an authentic Naxi restaurant nearby, where we had an absolutely delicious meal. Every morning, we enjoyed a tasty homemade breakfast, and the house itself was full of charm and comfort. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Shuhe.

You know it's good when you feel sad to leave, and that was my feeling checking out after my 4 days here. Shuhe Town is so peaceful and relaxed, and Lost Lodge is perfect. From the clear communication and pickup on arrival to the checkout at the end everything was superb. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, the room was spacious and comfortable, the lodge environment is so relaxing with fish ponds and cute bridges and the location could not have been better. Down a quiet laneway with LAM coffee shop a minute's walk away. If you are visiting Lijiang, choose to stay here in Shuhe instead. It's still convenient to Lijiang but much more beautiful, relaxed and peaceful.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel that is in the old Town. Both the external facade and room deco are well designed, creative, and just beautiful enough for many IG shots. It certainly has character, unlike the functional hotels of western brands. You even have a clear view of the Jade Snow mountain from the roof. It's very clean and have all the amenities that you need. The hotel manageress, Vie Vie, was super helpful and attended to our every needs. Very responsive and attentive. I highly recommend this hotel.
