Banyan Tree Lijiang

The room was quite spacious, and we got an upgrade to a standalone villa with a private hot spring in the courtyard. The service was excellent, and the breakfast area was lovely, offering sparkling wine which tasted great. We were a bit short on time, so we only managed to have some tea, which was also very good. We didn't have time to try any other activities.

This was the best hotel on my Yunnan trip. Banyan Tree, as always, is perfect for a getaway. The outdoor hot tub with circulating hot water was fantastic, and the room and private courtyard design were very unique. The welcome snacks and cake were also a nice touch. I especially want to commend the outdoor hot tub and courtyard again.

This trip to Lijiang, I chose to stay at the Banyan Tree, and I deeply appreciated the hotel's beautiful surroundings, the attentive butler service, and the extensive breakfast. I truly felt right at home.

Here's my review of the Banyan Tree Lijiang; overall, it was a very comfortable stay. The room featured a king-sized bed and a sofa bed. The entire place was spotless, and any request we made to the staff was met with a prompt and thorough response. I particularly loved the room layout. The sleeping area with the large bed, the living area with the sofa, and the bathroom each had doors that could be closed off, creating separate, private spaces. It felt as spacious as a two-bedroom suite. It also came with a private courtyard that included a hot spring jacuzzi, with the water temperature perfectly adjusted. The whole garden was incredibly quiet, making for a truly relaxing soak.

The environment was surprisingly good, and the room was clean and tidy. Housekeeper Abby was very helpful and responsive, always answering messages promptly and resolving any issues immediately. Nice!

The room was incredibly spacious, almost too big to walk across easily, and it took a while to find someone there! 😂 The pool water in the courtyard was wonderfully warm, perfect for a relaxing soak after a day out. We were lucky to see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from the courtyard when the sun came out in the morning. Although the hotel has been open for many years, the bathroom facilities seem to have been updated, and the entire property is very well-maintained. The bedding was comfortable, breakfast was plentiful, and the staff's service was attentive and thoughtful. They even gave us a small gift when we left.

The room features a standard Naxi-style design, with a spacious and airy 99 sqm layout. The soft furnishings are elegant and tasteful, the bedding is soft and comfortable against the skin, and the amenities are complete and clean. The most stunning feature is the private viewing balcony, offering an unobstructed, direct view of the entire Jade Dragon Snow Mountain right from your room. You can wake up to the 'sunlit golden mountain' phenomenon from your bed in the morning, and in the evening, sit on the terrace, enjoy the breeze, and watch the clouds drift over the mountaintops – every photo you take will be postcard-perfect, with an absolutely superb and unobstructed view. I must particularly commend our dedicated butler, Elin. She proactively contacted us before check-in, confirmed our itinerary in advance, and even reminded us about the temperature differences between morning and evening. The entire check-in process was completely hassle-free. She was instantly available via WeChat, responding incredibly quickly, and arranged all additional supplies meticulously and thoughtfully. Her sense of propriety was just right – warm without being intrusive, with thoughtful details at every turn. Our entire trip was perfectly taken care of, making our travel experience truly wonderful.

This trip was absolutely fantastic! I was really nervous before booking (because I'd seen some negative reviews), but after staying here for four continuous days, I felt like I was in a paradise. It's truly an amazing resort. Everything from the hotel's facilities to the staff provided an incredibly comfortable experience. Our butler, Elin, was beautiful and very attentive; she contacted me the day before we arrived to share the hotel's daily activities. Every staff member was polite and provided meticulous service! The room cleaning was also excellent. The hotel is very close to Shuhe Ancient Town, just a 10-minute walk, and on clear days, you can even see the snow-capped mountains from the room's courtyard. The hotel package also included a travel photoshoot, and the makeup artist, photographer, and photo selector were all excellent. Plus, there was the SPA massage—it was just perfect, no complaints, haha! I'm already looking forward to my next stay at Banyan Tree Lijiang.

The hotel is great, and the staff are all very enthusiastic, especially Elin, our butler, who was responsive to all our needs. We came during the rainy season this time; hopefully, on our next visit, we'll get to see the sun shining on the golden mountains!
