The staff were excellent, the hotel was in an okay location in Shuhe ancient town (around 4kms from Lijiang old town), and the gym was good. The room was small but cozy, the only thing that really bothered me was the air conditioning. You could turn it on, it made noise, but it didn’t actually condition the air in the room. The temperature was around 28 degrees which meant I could barely get any sleep at all. It was absolutely roasting! Since the AC didn’t work I tried to open the windows but it made zero difference to the room temperature.

Nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was just okay (this first day I was the only person at the hotel so it was not the normal breakfast. The second morning had a small group staying so it had more options, but still a bit minimal. Location is good, although it is right behind the music square, so it is a bit loud until later. Great location and if you want to you out and have some food and drinks until late, it’s fantastic. The gym and pool are nice though I didn’t have the opportunity to try either. It is a bit of a trek into the old town to get to the place as no taxis can enter where it is, but again, it is a lively area of the old town.

The service staff is a few young people. The overall decoration style of the hotel is a bit European. Those who are not afraid of cold can swim in the big swimming pool. Several children had a lot of fun. The auntie who cooked breakfast was also very enthusiastic! The only drawback is that some of the facilities in the room are a bit old. It should be that they have not done a good job of daily maintenance. The king-size bed suite is really big, but the toilet and bathroom are too small. Other than that, it is still pretty good overall.
