Bed: Comfortable and clean.
Pillows: Not good for me, as I got a stiff neck; they were too high. It would be better to have 4 pillows, with 2 memory foam ones.
Room: Bright lighting, no strange smells or smoke. The window offered a view of blue skies, white clouds, and mountains.
Bathroom: Clean, with stable water temperature. However, the design has a major flaw. After showering, the towel rack is only available outside the door. This drastic temperature change between warm and cold can easily lead to altitude sickness. I strongly suggest placing the glass door at the entrance to the shower.
Hotel Environment: Very good. No smoke smell in public areas, the dining hall, laundry room, or corridors. The 7th-floor terrace offers views of Lijiang both day and night.
Cleanliness: Good. Just some marks on the tissue box. The cleaning staff were very enthusiastic and diligent, generously replenishing bottled water.
Front Desk: Polite.
Breakfast: Plenty of variety and delicious. No stomach issues after eating.
Location: Halo bikes, Halo electric scooters, and other electric scooters are available outside. Very close to the Old Town.
For this road trip, we chose the JI Hotel in Lijiang for our overnight stay. It's less than two kilometers' walk from the old town, which was perfectly acceptable. The area around the hotel has plenty of dining options, and it was very quiet at night. The room had a large and comfortable bed. Breakfast was also very generous with a good variety of choices, and the coffee was nice too!
My time at the Ji Hotel Lijiang Ancient Town Waterwheel is like a heartwarming painting, deeply etched in my heart.
Walking into the restaurant early in the morning, I was dazzled by the sumptuous breakfast. A dazzling array of delicious foods emanated enticing aromas. The Lijiang specialty rice noodles, with their rich and savory broth, imbued each bite with the unique local flavor; the buckwheat cakes were soft, glutinous, and sweet, leaving a lasting aftertaste. Each dish was meticulously prepared, recharging my spirits for the journey.
But what warmed me most was the warm service of the front desk staff. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, their smiles and greetings were like a spring breeze. During check-in and check-out, they were efficient and patient, answering every question and offering thoughtful recommendations for nearby sightseeing, making me feel at home in this unfamiliar city.
In my free time, I ventured outside and gazed upon the azure, jewel-like sky of Yunnan, pure and beautiful, seemingly within reach. Under such a sky, my mood became particularly soothing. This stay has left me with even better memories of Lijiang. Thank you to everyone at the JI Hotel Lijiang Ancient Town Waterwheel Hotel. Your dedicated service made my trip so perfect. I will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to my friends.
The hotel is quite new and located near the old city centre. It is a good 3 star hotel with a tasty breakfast. The staff is very nice and very cool: You can wash your clothes (and dry) for free! There is a laundry room!
The first room wasn't very clean, so we changed. Generally, it's clean enough, and because the hotel is new enough, I can recommend it here. There is a new JI hotel a bit further away, if you want it more clean
I've stayed at Atour Hotels many times, but this was the most unexpectedly pleasant experience. I only needed one king bed and one small bed, but they gave me two king beds and one small bed, and they were in two separate rooms – basically a suite! The experience was fantastic. My child got their clothes dirty at Lanyue Valley, and there was an aunt downstairs who helped wash and dry them. I just picked them up after an hour. I also asked the front desk to print my child's homework, and they even brought us a fruit platter and flower cakes. Next time I come to Lijiang, I'll definitely stay here again!
