When we stayed at this hotel in 2016, and again in 2018, we judged it to be one of our favorite Hilton properties in the world. Since then, we have stayed at many additional Hiltons, to the extent that one of us is now a Lifetime Hilton Diamond member. We wondered if our current six-night visit would match our memories six years and one pandemic later? We soon found out that the hotel staff has maintained its high standards and it remains a wonderful place to stay. The employees are uniformly friendly and helpful. For example, we arrived with two separate reservations for our total stay, due to a change of plans. One of the front desk employees, Jésus, worked diligently during our 11:00 PM check-in to ensure we could stay in the same room throughout our entire stay. The building itself, located in a great area for comfortable walking access to the Miraflores Boardwalk, is beautifully maintained. The immediate neighborhood is an oasis of quiet in this busy city. The daily housekeeping service is excellent and unobtrusive. We appreciated such touches as USB ports on both sides of the bed, daily replenishment of drinking water, and a pod coffee machine. We had access to the top-floor Executive Lounge, a delightful spot with a good continental breakfast and a selection of hot and cold appetizers during the 5:00-7:30 PM Happy Hour. The only alcohol is beer and wine, but simply by asking we had tasty pisco sours cheerfully served to us a couple of times during our stay. Outdoors on the same floor is a swimming pool and two hot tubs. There’s also a bar at one end, making it a great place to hang out. Bonus: It was quite uncrowded during our stay. We ate most of our breakfasts downstairs in the well-rated Social Restaurant, mostly in the patio that fronts the hotel. The food and service were so good that we ended up dining there twice more, once for lunch and once for dinner. There are also several good restaurants literally down the street and around the corner. We used the concierge once to make a dinner reservation, and when he saw us a couple of days later he greeted us by name. It's one more example of great employees making us feel special. We were treated very well as Hilton Diamonds, but we sense all guests are. If we’re fortunate enough to return again to Lima, we’ll definitely be staying at the Hilton. We can recommend it with great enthusiasm.
