This Hampton in Lima’s reliable San Isidro neighborhood is a magnificent one for any type of stay. - Location: It’s within walking distance to many must-see attractions and must-eat restaurants, as well as to public transit. San Isidro is safe and reliable for a tourist or business stay. A nice pedestrian median on Av Arequipa, which forms the western border of the hotel, offers a great way to access Parque Kennedy and Miraflores (basically straight south). No walk is longer than 30 minutes. - Atmosphere: The Hampton touches I’m used to were evident here, but they were elevated and enhanced in such a way that only non-USA Hamptons can accomplish. Touch surfaces were absolutely spotless, and natural light always filtered into the lobby through the large, wrap-around windows on the ninth floor (yes, the lobby is high up!). The property is not huge, but it’s just perfectly compact. - Service: A strong commitment to customer service is very clear. I never encountered a passive or unhelpful member of staff. Everyone seemed to greatly enjoy their job, and that type of joy is infectious. I was also impressed at the level of detail the staff remembers from previous days and relays to the rest of the team—if I had an issue that could only be taken care of the following morning, the hotel wouldn’t forget; they would check on me first thing the next day and ask if and when someone could fix it. That’s expected at a Ritz Carlton, not a Hampton…but that’s the beauty of Latin America! - Room: My quarters were fresh, spacious, and as clean as a COVID-era hospital. Does this place EVER age?! It doesn’t seem like it! Everything I needed for my one-night rest was provided in my room. Soundproofing was not quite to my personal standards, but that’s ok. - Value: Value-wise, this hotel rocks. Even though I booked at a discounted rate ($40) through Go Hilton, the average price seldom exceeds $100. Budget-conscious travelers with a craving for earning points will love this Hampton. Plus, the free, hearty breakfast for all makes it totally worth it. While it isn’t luxury, nobody can go wrong with this wonderful Hampton. I highly recommend it.

The location is good, very close to the sea. The point is that the Chinese restaurant next to it is great. Eating is more convenient.

This is not a 5 star hotel experience. Clearly the rooms need some modernisation. There is for example only fans and no temperature control air con. Our bedroom only had one bedside table. When we changed rooms things didn’t work and we had to get them fixed. However staff were very helpful. The bed was comfortable and there was a good sized wardrobe and shower. We had lounge access which was a much smaller area than we are used to and served a very limited food and beverage selection, however Oscar was a great host and did everything possible to make our experience better. We went to the gym but a lot of the equipment was faulty. It is limited but one treadmill out of the three had a non functioning ramp. All of the cross trainers were not working properly. We also had a meal in the restaurant which was average but again friendly staff. Thank you also to Clara who realised our experience had not been great.

The hotel itself is not 7 stars, but it is the people who work there who makes it such a nice place. Didn’t have a bad experience here, my wife and I happened to be in Peru for a funeral and I had a health issue due to the emotional stress. Santiago from the reception was prompt to call the ambulance and they could fix the situation. Also when friends and family came to visit, I befriended waiter Carlos Abanto, very good guy, he deserves all the compliments, super professional. Because of people like them I plan to come back. Also Zarai Chileno (waitress) was nice and Jose the guy who used to clean my room. With this staff and location I assure you a lot of returning business and many good years to come. Summary: a very good hotel that gets its core mission right, with minor room for improvement to get a perfect score next time. The good: Staff: all staff I encountered from security at the front door to the check-in and restaurant/bar staff were excellent. All FOH staff spoke good to excellent English. A special thanks to Diego at the front desk for being especially friendly and going above and beyond to help me manage multiple reservations I had booked for this property, allowing me to stay in my original room and not have to check out and back in. Thanks also to Henry from the bar/restaurant for his warm and friendly service that made me feel especially welcome and valued. The room: what a fantastic room. Hotel is relatively new and as you’d expect the room is modern, with a seperate desk space for working and plentiful AC and USB charging points for your devices. A very modern bathroom with high pressure rainfall shower and seperate toilet behind a floor to ceiling frosted door. Food/drink: food and drink was excellent, plenty of local and western choices. Not local or authentic by any means but the ‘Texas Burger’ and ‘BBQ Wings’ wouldn’t be out of place at any high quality US diner. Location: hotel is in a safe, quiet pocket of Miraflores within walking distance to the beach, Kennedy park, Lacomar mall and Barranco. There are bus stops nearby if you wish to go to the Lima historic centre. The bad: The bedding: this seems like such an oversight, but the bedding was terrible. Tiny small pillows that are reminiscent of the ones you get given on airplanes and a scratchy blanket that brought back memories from school camp. This seems like an easy one to fix. Noisy: half way through my stay I got some noisy neighbours in the next room and you could hear their conversations clear as day through the wall. So be aware so this may be an issue. Fortunately in my case they went quiet at night time and my sleep wasn’t impacted. Smoking: while this is a smoke free property, the smoking area is right by the front door so you often have to walk through a plume of smoke to enter the property. Please consider moving the smoking area to the other side of the driveway. Conclusion: A very good hotel. If I return to Limq, this would likely be my first choice. This property is better than many Hilton (main brand) I’ve stayed at.

We arrived in Lima at 1:30 AM and needed to stay at a hotel near the airport as we were planning to fly to Cusco within 12 hours upon arrival. The hotel provided us a shuttle that picked us up from the airport to the hotel. Cost was only 30 soles (less than $10 USD). The room was spacious and had the essentials that we need in a hotel. I did wake up at 6 in the morning hearing a rooster. I'll be honest, the hotel is in Callao, which is not the nicest area of Lima. In the morning when we checked out, we wanted to uber to Plaza de Armas de Lima area. Our hotel front office ambassador was so kind - she waited outside the hotel with us to make sure we were protected and constantly checked my phone to ensure we were getting into the correct Uber. Unfortunately, I don't speak Spanish but I understood her gestures when she was saying that my phone could be snatched. I wish I got her name. When we got back to the hotel to go to the airport, our hotel manager held our luggage in a locked room and yet again stayed with us outside for our uber to the airport. For an affordable hotel near the airport, Padama Hotel was definitely a great pick for us.

This is a great place to stay if, like us, you were using Lima as a jumping off point to get to different places in Peru. It is just outside the airport (and across several insanely crazy roads so I do NOT suggest that you walk there!) and there is a free shuttle that runs every 10-15 minutes. Once you get out of baggage claim, go to the lien of desks for taxis, transportations and go to Direct Taxi 9blue sign) and let them know you need the Holiday Inn shuttle. Someone will take you outside (past all the freelance taxi drivers vying for your attention) to the place where the shuttle comes. (if you ask a freelance taxi driver for the free shuttle, don't be surprised if they see there is not one- WRONG.) The hotel is quite comfortable (and quite busy!) and its restaurant is open 24/7. I had the tuna rice bowl (I know- taking a chance) and it was excellent. My sister's pizza was fair and my brother in law does NOT recommend the hamburger- but hey, Holiday Inn is not a place you think of for haute cuisine. The staff is very, very friendly and helpful; check in takes a bit longer than you might expect but I think that is because the peruvian government requires more than the usual number of forms at this place- not entirely sure. The rooms are spacious (ask for 2 key cards as one must be inserted into the slot just inside the door to activate the electricity so if you are staying with someone who wants to stay in the room while you go down to grab a bite or a beverage, you will need to leave a least one key for the remaining person to not be left utterly in the dark). It was comfortable, very convenient, and quite reasonably priced. To get into town, they will call a registered taxi 9or you can Uber) and it will run about $15-20 USD. would definitely stay here again if our itinerary was anything like ours which was ”Lima to Iquitos to Lima to Cusco to Lima to home!”

The hotel is right opposite the airport. Since I had to catch a flight the next day, I chose a hotel close to the airport! Eating and drinking is convenient, and the hotel environment is also very good! It’s just that it’s quite far from the city, and the traffic in Lima is quite congested!
