Grecotel-Luxme Daphnila Bay Dassia

We stayed at the hotel with friends returning for a second visit. They love the views! Yes the views are lovely but the downside was we stayed in a 'bungalow' which meant ALOT of walking up and down a steep hill to get to the beach one way, and hotel for meals, the other. Yes, you could get a lift from each way but even so....some of the paths around these 'bungalows were an accident waiting to happen with broken and loose stones. Noone seemed to be in a hurry to repair them. I see an expensive dental bill or smashed in face!! The bungalows are basic, not one mirror in the bedroom. No where to do makeup or admire yourself! A full length one in the bathroom where I rigged up a makeup stool, but really? Milk was never topped up, or maybe 2 tiny capsules now and again. We had to carry glasses of milk down the treacherous steps and paths!! Bed was comfortable and plenty of plugs. Don't forget adaptors. Staff all polite, lovely and helpful. Sunbeds on the beach grassy area horrible uncomfortable things. Goodness knows how old they are. An update would be gratefully received by all the complaints we heard around us. Supports were flapping and people collapsing! Food in hotel buffet very good, the beach cafe was very repetitive. Just salads basically. Excellent hotel for families with young children, very geared towards them with clubs, discos on hotel patio until fairly late in the evening. Not really our cuppa listening to hokey cokey AGAIN while enjoying an a la carte meal! Airport queues and transfers horrendous but all in all an OK holiday with lovely friends. Just to mention our friends stayed in the hotel but unfortunately they were disturbed by kids running along the corridors, kicking balls. Above them noisy as well. Not even half term weeks but kids under 12 go free, so be warned!!

This hotel truly is a great all inclusive family escape. Firstly the location, it is located only 30 minutes from Corfu airport and Corfu town and is nestled within a bay on a hillside which offers spectacular views of the bay, Corfu and across to Albania. The beach is lovely, big enough but not too big and is sand with pebbles. The best part was there was plenty of sun loungers by the beach on the sand and in the grass area which offered shade from the many trees. The only downside was there wasn't really anywhere to walk to unless you wanted to visit the neighbouring hotel or fancied walking down the narrow access road. The hotel offers a shuttle bus to Corfu town three times a day, for €10 euros per person. I would highly recommend this, the driver was super and drops you off near the port and so on the doorstep of the old town which is a must see when in Corfu. The hotel itself was well kept, lush green with a team of gardeners constantly working to keep it looking beautiful. There main hotel building has a few rooms within it but most rooms being bungalows. We stayed in a bungalow and glad we did as it meant we got to sit out on the patio in the garden area and was very quiet and peaceful. The room itself was fine, nice and spacious, well decorated. The only ****** was it needed a bit of maintenance, like there being a cracked tile and the shower made all the bathroom floor wet, particularly around the toilet which wasnt the best with a toddler recently potty trained. The staff though were genuinely amazing, a big thank you to all the staff who were so helpful and always friendly. Particularly to Elsa and Maria who interacted with us and made my daughter feel super special, even cutting up an apple for her in the evening affer we been for dinner. The entertainment team were also great, with there mini disco on at 8pm every night then entertainment after. The food was also good, with their lot to choose from in the main buffet restaurant, with there being indoor selection and the outdoor grilling area which offered things like gyros and grilled meat. The buffet offered down by the beach was also really great, offering pizza a range of dishes as well. Yiu could then go to the crepe and gelato place next door for a sweet treat. It also made it easier to stay at the beach, meaning you didn't have to track back up the main hotel for food and drinks. The hotel is on quite a steep hill, it was ok for us to push the pushchair up and down but some may find it difficult. The hotel did offer an electric car service up and down at peak times which was helpful. Overall, we had a lovely family holiday here and I would recommend this hotel to any family looking for a relaxing holiday that gives great access to the beach and option of pools. I would love to return and potentially explore other hotels the chain offers. Thank you grecotel for an amazing holiday 😊

Amazing hotel , staff are wonderful , location is stunning especially if you have a sea view room , the food is great in the buffet but absolutely exceptional in the alcarte restaurants the fine dining was our personal favourite, but we had a wonderful meal in all of them. We did the hotel boat trip which was great a lovely day out . We also used the speed boat to the old town which was a great service for the hotel to provide for its residents for a small cost . We never return to hotels as there are too many to try but this hotel provided us with such an awesome holiday we have rebooked again for next year .

I would like to recommend this hotel to all tourists. perfectly located with all amenities to make the most of your stay. the advantage is the all inclusive in the main hotel area and also by the sea. hotel offers airport pick up so you don`t need a car! Very professional staff helped me adjusting my reservation as we had to leave before the end of the holidays. Hope to comeback soon!

Lovely bungalow with sea view, great food and lovely staff. I really enjoyed it. Didn’t bother me but, the pool area is quite small and was quickly filled even out of season when I went, but there is a lovely private beach. However, the beach is down quite a steep slope which I think caused other guests with mobility issues problems. Also, the outdoor pool isn’t heated, so in May, it’s very cold, in fact the sea is definitely warmer! No availability in restaurants even though I tried to book on the day I arrived, which was disappointing.

There is a recent review on here that pretty much sums up everything we felt about the hotel - fantastic location, great food and drink, spotless rooms and excellent staff - literally every staff member we interacted with was brilliant, I hope the management team realise what a good team they have! The only small thing that didn't quite click with us with the focus on the children's activities and just how many children there are. I appreciate that it must have an excellent kids club with lots of activities and that is why families come here, but as a couple (travelling with some other family members), we found just due to the size of the hotel that it was difficult to get any space/quiet from the hoards of kids! Just something to bear in mind - the hotel itself is really fantastic but if you want a week of peace and quiet this is (sadly) probably not the place.

We had a lovely week in April at this superb hotel. The view from our room, a "Limited Sea View bungalow" was amazing and not "Limited" at all. We could see across the Ionian Sea to the mountains of Albania and Mainland Greece. The room was rustic chic, and very charming. The cleaners were very efficient and kept the room spotless. We were delighted not to have to wear wristbands to enjoy the Luxme AI package. The main Buffet offered a large variety of both hot and cold foods. A special mention to Angeliki who excelled at customer service and always had a welcoming smile. We also enjoyed the excellent Speciality Restaurants and would like to mention Costa and Meina who served us in the Taverniki restaurant. (Remember to download the App before you visit as you can book the Speciality Restaurants from seven days before your visit). We had a relaxing week, there was always a quiet spot with plenty of sunbeds to be found in the Beach garden area. Where there is a fully stocked bar, alongside a pizza kitchen and crepe and ice-cream stalls. We recommend taking the water taxi into Corfu Town. Don't forget to walk to the Ypapanti church on the water if you have a chance, it takes about fifteen minutes. In the opposite direction is St. Nicholas Beach which is also a fifteen to twenty minute walk. Oh, and the patisserie in the reception area at 15:00 every day except Sunday, is well worth a visit. Overall we had a superb time and look forward to a return visit when we can.

We were booked into another TUI hotel which was adult only with a sea view. For just a week. However got moved to here. The room over looked the car park. Couldn't open the balcony doors as the generator was going 24/7. A long hike to the beach if you can call it a beach. Some sand and a patch of grass and trees. Steps everywhere so no good for the infirm or wheelchair users. Hot Food was awful and warm. Salads cant be ruined. Small pool 45 sun loungers and 250+ rooms and bungalows that look like air raid shelters. We cut our holiday short by 5 days.
