The hotel is very good and close

A little old, but everything was OK and the staff was super nice and friendly. Breakfast was OK, beds were OK, carpeting was a no-go in the 21st century. Location was very good and the price/performance ratio was OK!

The Bodenseehotel Lindau was our first overnight stay on a planned bike tour around Lake Constance. Unfortunately my husband didn't read the reviews here because then we wouldn't have booked it in the first place. It was a good 34 degrees outside and the room was on the upper floor and at least that was the case inside. The room was right on a busy road and directly opposite the train station. Unfortunately there was no air conditioning and no fan either, we didn't sleep a wink but we had to pay 183.00 euros for it. In the bathroom there were toothpaste stains from the previous guest on the sink. The bathroom is actually an ancient cabin like the ones you see on river cruises. The light switch is also sticky with dirt. At breakfast we were greeted by a large board that said "Do not take anything with you, nothing in Tupperware containers, nothing in napkins, nothing in bags, nothing at all, etc. It made you feel really nice and welcome. The breakfast itself was OK but we wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

Super recommended hotel! A few minutes from the island of Lindau reachable in 30 minutes on foot, otherwise in front of the hotel there is a bus stop as well as a train station. The station for taking swabs for Covid is also very convenient, quick and the queue doesn't last long considering that you don't have to book. The rooms are very clean and nice, with wooden furniture, wardrobe and a table. Breakfast is served as a buffet, except for the cured meats which are already served at the table, as a prevention against Covid. The staff was very kind, we arrived after the check-in time and they found a way for us to find the key, while we had had problems with other hotels.

The hotel is located right next to the Lindau-Reutin "main station" train station. The location to the island and to Bregenz as well as the local transport connections are excellent. The breakfast is good and the rooms clean and comfortable. A shopping center (probably a big one by Lindau standards) is right opposite. But you should understand that Lindau is not Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, etc. The sidewalks there are rolled up at 8 p.m. Not even the gas station is open at night. Otherwise a beautiful city on the beautiful Lake Constance.

Old hotel in dire need of renovation. Not the cleanest. Right next to the train station, hey prett.

Central, simple hotel, close to the lake and the island, with quiet rooms facing the street. Good bed and good breakfast buffet.
