A lovely little boutique hotel right by the canal. It has a very individual and personal feel. The rooms and large and comfortable, and it was great to have a fridge in the room and complementary water. We ate in the restaurant one night, on the covered deck overlooking the canal, which was beautiful. The food was excellent, it is a very interesting Asian/sushi fusion menu, with a wide choice with imaginative and unusual small dishes. It was so tasty and excellent quality

I spent a total of 3 x nights at the Hotel Het Oude Posthuys in Leerdam. It`s clean, friendly and with a very good Thai restaurant below. The hotel is ideally located very close to the centre of Leerdam with a short walk and there you will have more choices of bars and restaurants.
Parking is an issue but not insurmountable because there is paid parking on Meent street (free parking from 18:00 to 08:00 hours), but there is also absolutely free parking a short walk away on "Voorwaartsveld" street and next to the train station on "Stationsweg". A good hotel and a place I always use when staying in Leerdam, NL.

This is a very nice small hotel in the centre of Leerdam. I have stayed there several times before on business trips as I find everything about it is just perfect. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, the beds are large and comfortable and the breakfast is delicious.

De toegangspas werkt overdag niet, gelukkig hadden we dit getest dus kregen we een nieuwe pas. Helaas kwamen we erachter dat dit vaak het probleem is want de pas bij vrienden van ons die ook in het hotel verbleven werkte ook niet. Daar kwamen we om 01:00 achter. Het hotel was onbereikbaar. Uiteindelijk hebben we onze matrassen afgestaan aan de vrienden en zelf op de bodem van de boxspring geprobeerd te slapen. Het hotel vindt dat ze ons geen verontschuldiging verschuldigd zijn omdat het onze eigen keus was om vrienden te laten 'logeren', ze vinden dat we de vrienden maar buiten hadden moeten laten slapen. Ook krijgen we in geen geval iets van compensatie aangeboden. Dit was niet de €120-ervaring waarvoor we betaald hebben. Het contact verliep ook nog eens uiterst moeizaam omdat de contactpersoon/eigenaresse slecht Nederlands spreekt en schrijft.

We hadden 6 kamers geboekt voor een familie uitje. Toen kwamen in november alsnog extra maatregelen ivm Covid, waardoor we ons verblijf wilden uitstellen, vooral gezien leeftijd van opa (en risico voor hem). Dit was echter niet mogelijk. Alle kosten voor de 6 kamers zouden worden doorberekend. "Het heeft al genoeg gekost" gaf mevrouw Wang aan, de eigenaresse. Jammer en onbegrijpelijk dat je geen enkele coulance richting je gasten hebt. En bovendien een korte termijn visie. Geen aanrader dus.

Mooi klein hotel in schitterend oud pand. Heerlijk rustig. Grote mooie kamer (5). Had zelf een fout gemaakt in de reservering en dat werd keurig opgelost. Met leuk en lekker restaurant eronder. Vriendelijk personeel. Lekker eten. Al met al echt een aanrader, hotel en restaurant!
