I understand this is a new hotel, it is situated in the architecturally lovely Lisburn Square. It’s more like a Gastropub than hotel. The Lobby, the Bar are all just inside as you walk off the street, the restaurant is adjoining that. The rooms were on the first floor. Apparently, this hotel was an Argos Warehouse and as such the architecture is Industrial. The room was well equipped, a “Comfy” Twin Room, absolutely tiny, you had to dodge the TV on the wall is you got up in the night. I would hate to see the “Cosy” rooms. Having walked around Lisburn City which I am sad to say has become a very sad dead place, since I was there last when it was vibrant, we came back to have a drink in the hotel only to be met at the door with “live” music. If you value your hearing don’t come here on a weekend. It was unbearable, you couldn’t hear yourself think let alone converse. We ran out of it and ate in a lovely Pizza place on the Square, Little Wing, excellent with lovely staff. We returned about 11pm to the hotel which was still banking out the music but it could not be heard in our room thankfully. There is no getting away from this, no quiet place for residents to read. Breakfast the next morning was very badly organised we cane about 9.45 to empty cereal bowls, juices and yogurt, nothing being replenished. We got to order a cook breakfast eventually which took about 25 minutes to come and there were only 8 people in the dining room. Poor poor poor. Sadly we won’t be returning to this hotel.
