Ballymac Hotel

I am deeply disappointed by the hostile service I received here while out with my friend for breakfast. I tried to order a meal with a slight modification & even offered to pay extra, but the waiter refused & laughed at my request. He was dismissive & disrespectful and as someone who works in a restaurant myself I was shocked by his lack of professionalism. After he spoke to me in an incredibly rude tone regarding a drink question (what coffee comes with the breakfast?) I decided to cancel my food & leave. Instead of apologising the waiter just smirked. I was mortified by how I was spoken to . The management needs to address the attitude of their staff. Absolutely terrible customer service.

We had a fantastic experience, the hotel staff ( housekeepers) went above and beyond to accommodate us . The room itself was spotlessly clean . The grounds are stunning and the food was beautiful and plentiful. Overall we had a great time and we will most definitely be back .

Chased by the restaurant/bar manager for an honest mistake. Will find somewhere else on the next visit. The average rating given would have been better but for the attitude of one person. Mistakes do happen but how they are handled leaves a lasting impression.

Lovely hotel and location, attentive and friendly staff and value for money with food and drinks. Room service available as well as full amenities. Warm and friendly atmosphere. The only unfortunate downside was that we had no hot water in our room on arrival and although the staff were quick to resolve this for us it meant that only my husband was able to have a warm bath. We had been travelling for quite a few hours and I was a little disappointed that because we had to wait for the water to warm up I had to have a cold shower to wash my hair. Would definitely book again but would expect to have plenty of hot water on arrival.

Please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else for your food. Place is empty on a Saturday lunch time & that tells a tale. Gave the benefit of doubt and ordered, mistake I couldn't even eat the food, rotten. Frozen cr*p from a local shop for £18 each. Complained and didn't even get a penny off cause was my issue not theirs apparently their foods fine. Ha ha delusional, good luck to them, they should be shut down.

Very slow service despite the place being half empty, had to wait 30 mins for a menu, food also took about an hour to come. Food also not the best quality.

Staff were down right rude young girl behind the bar needs to do a customer service course. Local going to ballymac for 25 years won’t be going back.

Lovely place with attentive staff and very very good food. Far to much much for food for me so had to leave some and I hate waste We stopped off on way to airport. Thoroughly recommend

Loved the atmosphere, staff professional attentive and great craic . Rooms very clean and hotel grounds very well maintained . Food tasty and good portions. Overall an enjoyable night away and we will definitely be back .
