Very kind, talkative and supportive owner, unique 300y old facility but you should be inform about some negative aspects (musty and dump air in the room, not appropriate for small kids, mybe some air fresher reccomended). Exellent restaurant in walking distance, great environment for your doggy. However, do not be surprise that you have to pay additional fee for your pet - €30 per night (?).

We had a fantastic 3 night stay before Easter. We are a family of four so had the room with a double bed downstairs and twin beds on the mezzanine. The bathroom was part way up the stairs. The rooms were both very comfortable, spacious and clean. The stairs up to the mezzanine were steep but our children aged 7 and 9 managed fine. We paid extra for breakfast and it was well worth it. The host made a homemade yogurt or rice pudding and fruit mix, pastries were fresh and plentiful and there was cold meat, cheese and dips too. This was certainly a much better breakfast than ones we had in the chain hotels. The hosts were friendly and welcomed our children as a grandparent might. They took them into the garden and let them play with the dogs (who were extremely well trained) and help take out the horse. They gave useful advice about parking in Bruges and taking the train to Ghent as well as offering crockery if we wanted to bring back food rather than eat out. Decor in the public areas is very artistic and a bit different but makes this a unique place to stay. There is an honesty bar too if you wish to use it. Great location if you have a car as is not too far from the cities or the beach. Would certainly return.

It was a real pleasure to share
Axel and Guys home a most original b&b from the quirky stairs to the help yourself drinks cellar. A beautiful home made breakfast which was different every day. Spending time in the peaceful garden at the end of the day was a delight. I would recommend to anyone looking for an out of town location.

Very disappointing. The room is dark and the lamps dazzle. This choice of dark blue color combined with dazzling lighting is very surprising and very unpleasant. It is not the dim and intimate lighting but rather a feeling of blindness dazzled by the cataract which prepares us for advancing into old age. Especially since the climb up the stairs is difficult and resembles attic stairs. The beautiful fireplace promised in the photo on the site is absent or it is lit in the morning at breakfast without enough to warm the a**osphere. The beautiful hot tub outside promised in the photo on the site is out of service. In short, a very dark stay in every sense of the word. The only positive point was a fresh, homemade Royal breakfast. Which, however, was not enough to make the bad pill go away
