Super 8 by Wyndham Little Rock/Otter Creek

They were very rude. Because I didn’t get to check in the first night, my second night was cancelled.

Terrible experience. Check-in was slow. It was raining and they wanted people to line up outside and enter one at a time. No hair dryer in room. There was supposed to be a breakfast (coffee and breakfast item). There was coffee but "no breakfast item". Staff said that they were under renovations... however a breakfast item is usually a wrapped muffin or pastry so they could still have offered. We got a coffee and sat at a table. We were told we were not allowed to sit and should leave. We stayed but the employee screamed at us that we could not stay there. We asked to see the manager but they were none. We stayed until we finished our coffees. Overall bad experience. Rude staff.

The room was great but the service is horrible. Then trying to explain the policy is horrible. This is the only place I have had to pay a deposit(pending but charged my account). Just be ready to deal with a deposit just to stay. Stupid!

The staff that checked us in were NOT nice or friendly. I woke up 4 times to make sure our car was not broken into. The outside of this Motel was very run down. The room was okay but I would not stay here again.

So, let me start out with a positive note: despite the exterior looking so-so, the rooms were well kept and clean. The bad news is that somehow I reserved a smoking room. This probably happened because where I live in the US I haven't seen a smoking room in 20+ years. I didn't know they existed...really anywhere...but I guess they still exist in the US South. It was terrible. I still have a smoky smell to some of my clothes. The second night I changed, but it cost me extra to do so. I can accept that but the staff really didn't understand the concept of "the customer is always right", even when the customer is probably wrong. You politely tell the customer that the non-smoking rooms are a higher rate and that you would have to charge a fee to change the customer. You DO NOT tell the customer that there is nothing you can do. Also of note, the motel is right off a highway. So, if you're a light sleeper, just note that you will hear the cars going by all night. To end on a positive note, the location was reasonably convenient, the rooms were clean (no weird stained carpets or bed sheets like I've seen in Florida). Also, if you are willing to stay in the smoking room, you can get a great rate!

Water took 20 mins to heat up and we found bugs in our room.
