Electra Kefalonia Hotel & Spa

A friendly, welcoming and comfortable hotel close to the airport. Our room, overlooking the garden and sea, was lovely and very quiet. There was ample choice at breakfast (scrambled egg was amazing) and the staff were always smiling and attentive. Sufficient parking if you rent a car and the spa and indoor pool were also great. I had a back massage in the spa done by Nancy, who was great, but Antonia and Emma were also very helpful too. The only things we could criticise, and they’re only minor, is that a colourful picture on the wall in our room would have been nice, as it’s otherwise rather bland. Also, despite hanging our bath towels up they were still changed every day, which seemed unnecessary, particularly in today’s environment. We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was designed to give the guests the ultimate holiday experience. When you then add in superb customer care, then you’ll simply have the best holiday. The hotel is located about 30 metres from the sea, which is the most captivating view when sunbathing by the pool.

Never been impressed enough to post a TA review before now, however in my opinion this small modern hotel deserves one for its stunning sea views, chilled, pleasant atmosphere, cleanliness, exceptional food and friendly staff who are attentive & genuinely keen to please. Yes, the hotel is in close proximity to the airport runway, however don’t be alarmed it’s no Heathrow properly more like a small UK regional airport and no night flights during our stay and it’s location for some maybe a little remote but personally believe this adds to its tranquillity. We would not normally consider returning to the same hotel however this is an exception. Many thanks to all the team at Electra for a memorable stay.

This was not what we expected. The rooms were disgusting and I have photos to prove it. The Manager was extremely rude when explaining the issues. The AC did not work in our room. We paid for the best room and there was no privacy. Planes were so loud we could not sleep. Athens cancelled our flight to Kefalonia and we couldn't make our first night and they still charged us - they do not know customer service or empathy. Bartenders and Petros was amazing. Strongly suggest you do not stay here. Christos Kioumis the manager was laughing and being so rude to us. We highly recommend not staying here. The photos are not what the hotel looks like.

Quite simply we had an absolutely amazing holiday for two weeks staying at the Electra Hotel. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we felt so well looked after and spoilt. The whole team made us feel so welcome and like family. Our stay was truly relaxing and we were all able to just switch off and relax. We made use of the spa which was lovely and all of the treatments my family and I had were excellent. The hotel and rooms are spacious and luxurious and the infinity pool overlooking the sea creates a beautiful backdrop for a day of relaxation. The food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious, generous and lovingly prepared. Dinner was certainly a highlight with most dishes being of the highest standard and quality. The setting of the hotel is stunning and offers the most amazing sunset from the pool, bar and restaurant and one we enjoyed most days. Finally the team at the hotel were the icing on the cake. Everyone was just so kind and eager to help and ensure you had a wonderful time. Efi, Petros, Thannasis, Zoe, Mike, Thanasis, Margarola and all of the rest of the team who I have missed you truly are wonderful and made our stay a truly memorable one. We very much look forward to coming back

Beautiful, boutique hotel. Very relaxed atmosphere and delightful staff. Gorgeous views over the sea & immaculate gardens. Small issue with room and relocated swiftly, which was appreciated. Special shout out for the restaurant - terrific food, service and ambience. Local tavernas OK but not a patch on the hotels own restaurant. Tip - join the Electra rewards scheme, book direct for discounts on rooms, food & beverages. We hope to return.

Lovely hotel next to the airport , you see the planes coming over regularly but it only last a few seconds , The hotel is spotless with a beautiful pool and plenty of room for relaxing The restaurant here is very high standard and better than any other we tried on the island The staff at this hotel are also so friendly helpful and professional ,they make it a pleasure to stay here Highly recommended

I wanted to take the time to offer a brief insight into a family holiday - Myself, my wife and our young daughter (10 months). First off, the overall experience was exceptional. The hotel is a few year old, it is well kept, relatively small with around 30 rooms so it isn't over crowded and the service is exceptional.If you're looking to spend mid-range prices, but get higher quality, then you should 100% book this hotel. You might think that the hotel isn't really near anything, and you'd be quite right. The Turquoise Restaurant in the hotel offers very good food, at fair prices and once again exceptional service - If you like fine dining, then you'll enjoy this experience. There are some other restaurants nearby, some ok, some not so - do your research h on Google - but these are within walking distance. Hiring a car is, without doubt, the best way to get around, and most car hire companies deliver and collect from the hotel, so there is no need to stress about it, they all get good reviews and don't charge for damages that don't exist. You will also have read about the runway and airport being quite close, so yes you do get planes going overhead, that are quite noisy, obviously - but there really aren't many, and it isn't going to affect your holiday - our 10-month-old slept through the noise with the doors shut. The sliding doors are very thick, I would say for this reason. My only critique, or area for improvement would be that the breakfast selection is quite limited and one morning we were waiting 15 minutes for hot drinks - whilst it has everything you need to have a nutritionally balanced diet, there could be more variety. The cooked breakfasts are lovely - this did not impact our holiday, and shouldn't be a reason not to book Special mention, to the young waiter who was working most breakfasts and I didn't catch his name. He was very good with out daughter (baby), who because of his thoughtful interactions throughout the week soon enjoyed his company, and smiled when seeing him (she's very shy). I wish him well and thank him for his kindness. In summary, you'll have a lovely time here.

I don't want to say any bad things because the staff was so friendly and helpful, we wish we had such staff in any hotel we went, but surrounding was so boring with no vibe at all, very poor beach and no windows that could cope with airport noise
