What a great to stay! The view is just overwhelming due to the location directly on the rugged cornish coast. From the restaurant you are overlooking housel bay and the lizard lighthouse is blinking in to the windows. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are "cozy", that means not big. The whole building is breathing the air of the centuries, including wet walls, semi-permeable windows and ancient plumbing. But still a place to feel safe and sound. The best is the food. Prizy though, but worth every penny! Greetings to the chef of the "Fallowfields", he's just awesome. It was so good! Dinner was always blast!

Lovely hotel in a fabulous situation - views were amazing and that was despite the rain !! Very close to the SW coast path and lovely walks from the doorstep. Our room was recently refurbished - very comfortable and warm. Breakfast was excellent with a fabulous view and we had supper on two evenings - each time it was delicious (and also very good value we felt). Staff were very nice and helpful. Will definitely return

Easter Sunday lunch. Three of us went for lunch today. We are all vegetarians, and it can always be hit or miss, sadly mostly misses. However not today. The starters, main courses and desserts were delightful. Fresh and hot, and at 2.00pm. Everything was freshly cooked. Lovely, and the service was very good indeed. Fabulous contemporary restaurant, great views and very comfortable

Location of this Hotel is excellent, especially for coastal walks and wildlife spotting. The breakfast and evening meals were great. Staff friendly , reception staff not so good. Room was very tired and dated and really SMALL. We could not even unpack our cases. Furniture worn and damaged. Bathroom no cold water. And poor maintenance, decoration. No tv as no Ariel attached. Neither problem were resolved for us. Just grateful we only stayed for two nights as room was such a disappointment.

The staff at this hotel are exceptional and made our stay what it was. Friendly, helpful, attentive & seem to genuinely want to do whatever they can. Food was also some of the best we’ve ever had! The hotel is ‘tired’ in places and our room (no.6) was very small but we still had a really lovely time.

Stunning position, warmest of welcomes, amazing food. Difficult to expand on that - we had the best weekend despite "mixed" weather... really can't wait to return with friends. ( now just adding extra words to meet the count - Fallowfields restaurant is totally wonderful, as are bar staff, front of house, waiters, manager. Couldn't fault the weekend).
