Hostal la Llagosta

The staff were extremely pleasant, despite this being an extremely busy hostal and restaurant where the heat, rush, and volume of guests and diners could sometimes get the better of people. They were all charming and helpful. We had one evening meal there and it was top-notch. The breakfast was plentiful (excellent bread!) and again, very nice staff to help with 'driving' the coffee machines! The location could not be bettered. Most Spanish hotels and hostals do not provide tea-and-coffee-making facilities, which is a huge oversight. It would be a good idea to have the tea and coffee station left set up during the day for guests, with an honesty box. The bathroom was rather tired and in need of updating. We knew there was no air con when we booked, and a fan was provided, but air con is a must in the summer. However, we needed a last-minute booking and this was in the right location on the right days. We would recommend Hostal Llagosta - it does not pretend to be an upmarket hotel and with its superb location and lovely menu, it really is a good-value option in this otherwise quite expensive (and beautiful) town. A Good restaurant design is about achieving an equilibrium between the food, service and design; in effect it is telling a complete story about the place you visit and it’s culture. This restaurant is spot on. Sometimes you hesitate to give a review because if is a gem you want to keep for yourself. No matter what your preference is this is a must if you are in the area. Just amazing food and amazing service What else does one need
