The New Alexandra Hotel

This hotel served a purpose where I needed a bed the night before work. The hotel does not look great from the outside nor walking up the stairs to the reception, however it was being redecorated whilst I stayed there. The welcome from the female working was great and she was really helpful. My room was as booked, a small double with TV and coffee making facilities. It was also an ensuite room with shower. The room had recently been decorated. It was clean and that is the main thing for me. My only issues were the door lock was a bit difficult and maybe needs a new handle and the walls are thin, with it being an old building you could hear people talking television through the wall and Floorboards creaking as people walked up the stairs to their rooms. All in all for £37 I feel like I got what I paid for. I didn’t stay for breakfast or food in the bar downstairs as I had to go to work. I probably wouldn’t return but only because it was quite noisy and I am a light sleeper. The location is great with a carpark in the church across the road to and very central to all of the attractions in llandudno.

I stayed at your hotel last week for a mini Easter break with my children. I found the hotel lovely , with a nice clean comfortable room . Breakfast was lovely and the staff were friendly . I would defiantly stay again next time I am in Llandudno .

Me and my Husband stayed at The New Alexander Hotel this was a birthday treat to Llandudno. The hotel room was very clean, the bed was comfy, Young Man on reception was very helpful and explained things. We had breakfast both mornings cooked to high standards and hot drinks went down a treat. The staff all seemed very friendly.The only down side to this Hotel would be not having a lift I did ask for a 1st floor room in a special request form due to my Husband's health we were on the 3rd floor which my Husband did struggle room 5, had it been room 1,2, or 3 he would of been ok but please be aware there's a few stairs to go up even then apart from this the hotel is nice. It's in the town centre which is lovely and around the corner is the sea front.

Fantastic place, ideal location, room was very big with plenty of room for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. Room clean, plenty of towels and toiletries. Beds comfy, breakfast is served in the downstairs bar/cafe and is extra but its lovely and well worth the money, I would 100% recommend

It doesn’t look much from the outside or just in reception so I was a bit apprehensive but I believe they are revamping this area. However when I opened the door to my room I was really pleased. It was immaculate. Very well presented and nothing to moan about. The staff were friendly and happy to greet you with a smile. The location is super convenient also. I didn’t opt for breakfast. My room was very quiet except for the couple next door having intercourse. However this only lasted five minutes. Lucky for me but not for her. Obviously this is not the hotels fault and I would have no hesitation in staying here again. The lack of a lift didn’t bother me at all and to be fair the website clearly states there isn’t one. Please read whole review!! We stayed at the new alexandra hotel for 2 nights this weekend. We came to Llandudno as a family to visit our aunt and booked two doubles and a family room. We had a nice stay, the rooms were clean, the breakfast was delicious and the staff were lovely. My mum’s room smelt of cigarette smoke when we first arrived but the staff were upset about this and went out of their way to try to rectify it. Overall we had a pleasant stay. So imagine my shock when a few hours after leaving they rang us to accuse us of damaging some property in the family room! They claimed that a lamp and remote control had been damaged by my children and asked me to pay for them. My children are very sensible teenagers and we are a family who pride ourselves on our honesty so I explained that if we had done some damage we would have told them at the time. I thought maybe a previous guest had done it but my children said they had used the lamp and the remote control once or twice while there and both had been fine. So this makes us wonder if it is a scam? Do they do this to try to make some extra money? Either way it has spoilt what until then was a lovely family weekend and I have felt sick and upset for the whole four hour drive home. I feel insulted and angry on behalf of my lovely children to have been accused of something that we haven’t done. I’m sure the hotel will reply saying that it was us who did the damage as they kept repeating this on the phone and I realise it is our word against theirs but if you do decide to book here I hope it doesn’t happen to you too!

beds broke in half leaky roof bins rolling down the stairs poo on the roof kids running around screaming there heads off people fighting cracks in all the walls damp everywhere basicly a ******* and full of llandudnos finest skanks

We were in Llandudno for the day, so popped in for lunch, the food was delicious, an added bonus the chips are cooked in separate frierers from fish, the staff were all brilliant , friendly and was able to have a laugh with them too, nothing was too much trouble either, well worth a visit, we will definitely be going back there next year.

Found room clean and spacious bed linen clean didn’t eat in restaurant but was always busy the shower in our room I couldn’t turn it on was so hard my husband needed 2 hands to turn on and off if I was alone I wouldn’t have had a shower other than that it was fine
