Really poor in every way , awful fish and chips , swearing singing and loud music till late, could not sleep , manager told me to f off out of his pub for complaining politely, Shambolic breakfast Lovely staff who apologised profusely No sign of Manager in the morning , wouldn't stay again Give it a try maybe I was unlucky - not a Friday though!

Staying in a local rented property for the weekend decided to try the lunch food on Sunday. Well how impressed were we!lovely helpful staff. Lovely clean and cosy restaurant. And one of the best meals we have ever had. We tried the Beef Sunday roast and the beef just melted in your mouth. The whole meal was fabulous. Hubby also had a lovely prawn cocktail. Well done Kings Head we would recommend to all

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch - plentiful and good quality. The staff were lovely and the tanners wine delicious. The pub didn’t look anything special from the outside and so the food was much better than we were expecting and we would return if in the area

Such a shame this is a tale of two halves. Staff all lovely, helpful and go out of their way to help you. The problem is in the cleanliness and upkeep of the premises and rooms inside and out. A lot of money has been spent on the rooms but not cleaned properly and why have a posh coffee water heater for beverages in room which you cant fill up under the tap??? Toilet stained and bed cover split windows cobwebs and thick dust. The back outside area with a large covered seating canopy looking onto grass field for camping and play are is not kept clean the covered seating outside must have been very costly to construct but the floor needs a good wash down and broken furniture and litter needs picking up regularly also badly stained cushions on furniture need washing. This is a village pub lovely building but no character out front, again area dirty with broken furniture no hanging basket or anything to welcome the customer in. Food was good and again nothing was too much trouble such a shame that priorities seem to be misplaced.

We called The Kings Head at 18:50 on Saturday evening enquiring about room availability when our tent was ruined by the weather. We were advised they had a double room available and we were asked for our name and arrival time. When we arrived an hour later, we were greeted by a gentleman who remembered our name - a small thing that makes a big difference. We were shown to room 4 straight away - a great size with a large window overlooking the road and churchyard to the front of the property. The bed was comfortable (although a little short for anyone around 6ft+), and the room also had a sofa and tea/coffee making facilities. My partner showered at around 11pm and found that there was no hot water, even with the thermostat on the hottest setting, however the temperature was absolutely fine for both of us the following morning. We spent the evening in the bar area, where we ordered food and drinks, and staff kindly put UFC on the televisions for us. It was a lovely atmosphere, food and service were great, and we also found upon checking out the next day that prices were extremely reasonable too. Breakfast is included in the room rate, and this was delicious too - all locally sourced and cooked and served to order. We loved our stay at The Kings Head and really feel that we struck gold. It was the perfect (if unplanned) end to a great weekend. We have both said that we would gladly stay here again and have already recommended the hotel to others.

Myself, my partner and friends stayed here lastnight for a wedding near by. Beautiful rooms, polite and amazing staff. Food was great! Allowed us to check in earlier than normal. Thank you very much :)

Motorcycle trip to beautiful Mid Wales and we stayed at the campsite and used the pub and restaurant. Lovely. The breakfast is superb, service friendly and attentive and the campsite itself basic but good value for money. Evening bar meals are not quite the quality of the breakfast but perfectly adequate and after the beer made us miss the last slot for ordering hot food they rustled us up some sandwiches. Thoroughly enjoyable and thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Me and my husband booked in for a meal as we have a caravan not far away. I paid £13.50 for a tiny piece of Trout with 5 stems of asparagus no vegetables or potatoes! My husband had fish and chips that was £14.00 which was sloppy and a tiny portion. We waited over an hour for this too. Was very disappointed as it is so local.
