Lovely hotel, nicely furnished and decorated, great position on the beach. Comfy beds, spacious room, duvet was a bit heavy for the summer, but appreciate that this summer has had variable temperatures - we were there on the hottest day so far. Car Parking is awkward. Restaurant is pricey, but the menu and food are worth it. Staff and service ethic are outstanding.

A very welcoming and friendly hotel. A warm welcome upon arrival. The staff at the Caerwylan are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful. They are a credit to the owners. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout. The views from the bedrooms are amazing. The housekeeping staff work exceptionally hard, and keep the bedrooms immaculate. All the staff are very friendly. Dom goes out of his way to help and engage with guests. I would certainly recommend this hotel. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday. Thank you to all staff!

Standard is excellent, clean as usual, rooms are comfy, bathrooms clean. Breakfast and evening meals have a good choice. Super view from our room ( executive) sea and castle. Very quiet and relaxing .well worth staying here when touring North Wales and surrounding areas.

Our 2nd visit to this hotel, and our experience, the best in north Wales. Our superior room was clean and comfortable, with superb views across the beach and bay. As for the restaurant, superb! A limited but excellent menu at reasonable prices. The location is brilliant for exploration of the area (and having visited this area since the age of 8, now retired) I think I know what I'm talking about. Negative points: I'm struggling here, but bottled water in the room at these prices is a basic ommission.

I loved this hotel. It is so well situated, and it seems that wherever you are in the hotel, you are able to enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding area. I stayed in a standard single room, with a wonderful view of Criccieth Castle, which was magically lit up after dark. The room was very comfortable with everything you could possibly need (if I was being ultra-fussy, I would have preferred feather pillows but everything else was perfect). The dining room had a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and the decor was modern with clean lines but still somehow remained comfortable and welcoming. There was a wonderful choice of cooked breakfasts, as well as a good selection on the buffet too, and I particularly enjoyed the Full Welsh Breakfast, the pancakes with fruit compote, and the Welsh Cakes too! The evening meals are equally impressive - the Sea Bass and the Italian Chicken were my personal favourites, and the chocolate icecream and champagne sorbet complimented each other perfectly. What really shone for me was the quality of the hotel staff: the friendliness and approachability of the reception staff; the efficiency of the restaurant staff, who looked after me so well, nothing was too much trouble and who asked every night, without fail, if I was enjoying my meal, and they were predominantly very young ladies: so well-trained and so impressive. That made a huge difference to the enjoyment of my holiday. It became obvious to me that many people stay at the hotel year after year and I'm not surprised. I'm already looking forward to going back next year! Thank you to everyone at The Caerwylan for making my stay so special.

We would like to thank all the staff for a great holiday at the Caerwylan Hotel in Criccieth. Our room was splendid with a comfortable bed and the sitting area looking over the beach made for a wonderful retreat. Everything was kept very clean during our stay – every member of staff was extremely friendly and the food was top notch. Simon & Rosemary - Scotland

Booked a last-minute one night stay over the Bank Holiday. Couldn’t have been happier with the welcome I received from Dom on arrival. I stayed in single room 19, which was nicely presented and very comfortable. The bar and lounge set-up was great and breakfast the next morning was appetising and generous, with good quality ingredients. I couldn’t take my eyes off the stunning (surely bespoke?) carpet with its subtle nod to Y Ddraig Goch, in the lovely restaurant! Thank you. Would be very happy to return.

Friendly, helpful and professional team. Very clean. Comfy bed. And the best reading light you could ever hope to have (important for me). Good breakfast choices, very nice and very well presented. Great location. So you can see that I rather enjoyed my stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Caerwylan and visit again if I am in the area. I hesitate to mention a minor '******' but the light/mirror placement in my bathroom was a wee bit too indirect to facilitate a good clean wet shave so either a stronger light, a well positioned wall light, or one of those pull out mirrors would be fab.
