Hotel Pietryna

We stayed here at the end of September. At night the temperature outside was around 10°C, and the room was extremely cold. There was no heating at all – not even radiators, which is very strange for a four-star hotel. The only option was the air conditioner blowing warm air, but it was directed straight at the bed, which was very uncomfortable, so we had to turn it off. As a result, the room simply could not be heated. In the bathroom there was a small infrared heater, but it was almost useless and didn’t really warm the space. Taking a shower and stepping out into such cold air was very unpleasant. Luckily, we stayed only one night, but we were freezing the whole time. Definitely not what you expect from a hotel of this category.

Excelent location, nice stuffs

I recently stayed at this hotel, which is located right in the strict center of Łódź. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, though there are a few important things you should know before arriving, especially if you are traveling by car. Because of the ongoing roadworks and renovations in the center of Łódź, do not rely blindly on GPS navigation – it simply couldn't find the correct route. Thankfully, the hotel reception provided me with absolutely perfect, step-by-step driving directions in multiple languages. A few things to keep in mind if you drive: The Entrance: Access to the hotel parking is through a very narrow gate. Availability: Parking spaces are quite limited and cannot be reserved in advance. The Cost: Don't be surprised when they add an extra fee for parking—it’s about €15 per night. City Guard: On your way to or from the hotel, you might be stopped by the City Guard (Straż Miejska) asking why you are entering a restricted zone. Just explain you are a hotel guest. The rooms are spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The hotel easily meets all hygiene and hospitality standards. As a bonus, my room offered a really nice view of the hotel's charming inner street. There is a beautifully designed, modern restaurant on-site with a lovely Atrium where you can sit back and spend some quality time. While the atmosphere is great, keep in mind that the food menu is a bit limited. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. Also, when it comes to checking out, payments are seamless and hassle-free. Summary: A brilliant, modern hotel in a perfect central location with fantastic service. Just be prepared for the tricky parking situation, and you'll have a wonderful stay!

Hotel Pietryna located in the city center on the main road Piotrowska. I stayed 3 nights and do not have much to complain about except one thing - parking. I would not recommend to park at the hotel for not experienced drivers. The hotel sells all possible parking slots and it gets pretty packed on the limited space. The room was good, enough space but for some reason it was hot inside every time I come back to the room, even though I set 17 degrees on the AC. Breakfast is very nice, many options and everything tasty. My recommendation is to take butter from the fridge at least 1h in advance, otherwise it is difficult to spread it. The hotel has a restaurant onsite - Oranżeria. I had a dinner once and can definitely recommend it. Decor is amazing! The paintings on the wall are super nice :) The rooms have a fridge, safe box, working table.

This hotel is a straight 10. Even great hotels usually have a small niggle but I can honestly say we found no fault whatsoever with this excellent hotel. In a great location on the main street you are greeted warmly upon arrival. Indeed all the staff are friendly and efficient. It is quite a large hotel, much bigger than it might appear from the outside. Our room was large and spacious, as was the bathroom with a huge and extremely comfortable bed. There was no noise experienced whatsoever, either from outside or inside the hotel. All areas were immaculate and clean and the decor was lovely especially so as it was a December visit and the decorations were beautiful and tasteful. The food in this hotel is fabulous. The buffet breakfast was extensive and varied and all of the items were of premium quality and beautifully prepared. We decided to eat at the hotel in the evening on the 2nd day of our stay and again, we were not disappointed. Fabulous food, beautifully presented and not at all expensive. We were well impressed. There are additional touches which make this hotel stand out from others like sweets on the reception desk and cakes and fruit on the bar area. And you are able to go into the restaurant at any time to make yourself a drink. And don't worry if you forget to take an umbrella with you as they have plenty available in the lobby to borrow. This is one of my all time favourite hotels and I highly recommend it.

All the staff from reception, to waiting and cleaning were all very charming and welcoming. My room was very clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast had the best selection I have ever seen in any hotel around the world. Good old fashioned Polish hospitality. If you are staying in Lodz, you need to stay here.
