Brame de Sologne

This is a really great location to visit Chateaus: Chambord, Royale de Bloise and Amboise The rooms are good size and very clean. There is an onsite pool and many amenities particularly for bicyclists. However, the best part of the Brame is the staff. The owner, Charlie is incredibly helpful and friendly; an attitude that has rubbed off on all the staff.

I loved this hotel!! The hotel itself is large and historic and yet the rooms are beautifully updated. The room was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was large and just fabulous shower. It's a short walk across the bridge into town. That little walk makes for a lovely views from the restaurant and grounds and a little separation for the luxury experience. The spa pool and jacuzzi were great. I didn't use the rest of the spa but others in our group did and said good things. Service was fantastic throughout. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff and the hotel. It was really fantastic
Les Hauts de Loire

On the 15th May, 2024 we stayed at the Les Hauts de Loire (@h8collection) -part of the H8 Collection (@leshautsdeloire)- in Veuzain-sur Loire. During our stay our hotel room was broken into and we were robbed. At first the hotel refused to believe us and insisted on searching our car and the room for the items and then going through the security footage of our arrival before taking us seriously and finally investigating the matter. After many hours wasted, security footage showed that a man freely entered the hotel grounds through an unsecured gate next to the public road. He then entered the hotel while no one was at reception. The police and the hotel manager determined that he then entered the unlocked office of the manager and used a key to enter our hotel room and steal many valuable items. The manager admitted this openly to the police. The thief can be seen walking out with all of our items past several staff unchallenged. We lost our credit cards, passports and a number of luxury items that totaled over 24,000 euros. We had to rush back to Paris to get new passports, cancel all of our cards. Under French Civil Code this means the hotel was clearly negligent and therefore liable for our losses. However, the hotel’s response was pathetic. The H8 Collection @h8collection has refused to provide full compensation for our losses and instead hid behind their insurance company to deny our claim despite us spending considerable time providing proof of ownership and evidence of our losses. This was all ignored and the hotel insisted on receipts for items purchased more than 10 years ago - an impossible task that they knew would allow them to deny compensation. Afterwards the Director of H8 Collection stopped replying to our emails and ghosted us. We were left with no choice but to sue. To anyone reading this, DO NOT stay at any H8 Collection Hotel @h8collection or resort. Avoid H8 Collection @h8collection entirely. They simply do not care about their guests. While H8 Collection @h8collection, claims to be a high-end establishment, it is nothing of the sort. Security is lax, management is poor and treatment of its customers is terrible. @h8collection #experienceh8 #leshautsdeloire @leshautsdeloire #h8collection #loirevalley #michelinguide

The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable. All is very clean ... We had a little ”couac” because we had not been warned that on Monday and Tuesday, dinners were the subject of a imposed menu... Fortunately, Benjamin, the young chief picked up things by offering us exceptionally of You can find it a good way to make our choice ... and it was divine ! Thank you Benjamin ... Maybe you should consider indicating it on the website as we know when booking ! The spa was not open for care unfortunately but we still enjoyed the sauna, hammam which are very pleasant!

On a positive note, the location is excellent to visit the Loire valley and its castles, a short drive from Blois, in the middle of a quiet park. The rooms, while reasonably comfortable, have nothing extraordinary or castle-like. There's a small kettle and a couple of tiny cups, no water, no mini-bar. The bathroom has just the minimum of toiletries: a tiny soap, shower gel and shampoo. No shower cap, cotton buds, body lotion, bathrobe, or slippers. It certainly does not reach the level I'm used to find in a 4-star hotel room. Breakfast is not up to a 4-star hotel. Tables covered in plastic (ugh…), with a croissant per guest on each table (hygienic?). No fresh juices, only one choice of eggs in a “boil-your-own-egg” appliance, ordinary bread. Service was also a disappointment. No information at check-in about common areas or services, other than the breakfast room. The manager and “lady of the castle” appears to have rather variable manners: with a few guests she was chatty and pleasant, with most just indifferent, and with some other peevish and rude, to the point of loudly telling off a guest because of a stain on the buffet tablecloth! The tone and contents of her answers to negative reviews here also reveal that character. Not once were we asked whether we were enjoying our stay or whether there was anything we needed, a common question, especially in a small-scale hotel. Not even at check-out did anyone ask us about our stay, so I don’t intend to “bother” them again.
