A beautiful beachfront hotel that is perfect for romantic getaways and a cheaper alternative, yet still luxury, to standard 5 star hotels. Location wise the hotel isn’t great as it’s very remote from the *****/city centre and taxi prices are not particularly cheap in Madeira. The rooms are spacious and stunning, well worth it with a great selection for the breakfast buffet and plenty of restaurants/options for dinner. A lovely love band/musician plays every night which is also great. Overall a wonderful stay with much friendly staff, however if you are looking to do much sightseeing in Madeira, this hotel is not the best option unless a significant amount is left for travel.

I was prepared to enjoy the place even before we arrived. But in reality the hotel exceeded my all expectations in terms of the quality, services, and cleaning. Just flawless stay .

Das Hotel wirkt optisch sehr eindrucksvoll und ist eher dunkel beleuchtet und stilvoll eingerichtet. Es liegt direkt am atlantischen Ozean, sodass man das Frühstück und Abendessen mit Blick auf den Ozean genießen kann. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück und Abendessen ist sehr groß. Das Frühstück hat uns insgesamt besser gefallen als das Abendessen. Das Abendessen war gut, jedoch nicht immer perfekt bezüglich Garstufen bei Fisch und Fleisch. Es gibt Hoteleigene Parkplätze, die jedoch täglich extra bezahlt werden müssen. Wer das umgehen möchte findet in der Regel auch immer einen kostenlosen Parkplatz in Hotelnähe.

Reservei uma tipologia de quarto e foi-me atribuido um quarto de categoria inferior, com a justificação de que o quarto atribuído corresponde ao reservado e não têm disponível outro. Hotel de 5 estrelas que não disponibiliza ajuda para entrega de malas no quarto com família a transportar 2 crianças a dormir.

Over all the Saccharum is a very nice hotel. Wonderful views. cool design with some "minor" issues. I would expect fresh juices at the breakfast buffet. charging 30EUR for the spa is weird. I never had to pay extra for the Spa in a Spa Hotel & Resort - especially if the spa does not have that many different options.
