So went stayed in the Beech hill for a friends wedding. We wanted to stay to enjoy the whole day without worrying about getting lifts. First of all the car park is tiny. Cars parked everywhere with all the wedding guest. The benches in the woodland wedding area are a little worrying. We thought ours might break at one point. Lovely area for a wedding ceremony tho. Our room was fine. Basic for £190. No fridge or biscuits with the tea coffee. The bed was great it was massive. We had booked a double but it had another bed in the room aswell. Food at wedding was beautiful. The breakfast was very slow coming out. It said continental but I never seen this. Just a menu for hot breakfasts. We had the fry which was fine I just don’t like fatty beacon. It is an old house so there is a very distinct musty smell in the hallways to the rooms. It’s a place I think you would only Stay if you were at a wedding there. The shower was in the bath combined. It was fine clean and all it’s just wee things I’m not fussed on when I pay to Stay away. Overall I feel the room was over priced for what it was but again it was a wedding so we paid it. Lovely old house very picturesque. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely young girl on reception very helpful.

We had our wedding reception at Beech Hill Country House in August 2023. It was the most magical day from start to finish and would not have been possible without the meticulous hard work of all the staff at Beech Hill. What drew us initially to this venue was the charming country house and beautiful surrounding grounds. We were also very much drawn to the fact the venue is yours for the day so it makes it all the more personal for your family and friends to enjoy. We were lucky enough to get a beautiful sunny day so had our drinks reception by the lake which was stunning. The Pavillion where we dined and danced the night away is also beautiful with twinkling fairy lights, it is so romantic. Thank you to Kevin, the MC who was a natural! Finally we partied into the small hours in the quirky little basement bar in the main house. Thank you so much to all the bar staff and night porter Johnathan! Ellie, who was our wedding coordinator went above and beyond for us and helped make the planning a lot less stressful with her expertise! The food was simply outstanding and a lot of our guests have said it was the best wedding meal food they ever tasted. The Beech Hill is simply a classically beautiful wedding venue, we had our photos taken on the grounds and they are stunning. The staff make sure everything is covered to ensure you and your guests have the best day! We could not recommend it enough, all our family and friends are still raving about how magic our wedding day was. Thank you again so much. Mr & Mrs Lynch

Ive sent this review to the hotel only to be met by an email basically stating itll not happen again that makes up for none of the treatment we recieved and unfortunately would not recommend a stay to any of our friends or family in the future Good Evening Now that it has been a few days and dust has settled ,we wanted to touch base. My name is Danielle and my best friend got married in your hotel on Saturday August 5th. I was the maid of honour at this wedding and myself and my partner and I were very excited to spend the evening in the hotel as I'm a big fan of your page, and everything always looks stunning. To make things easier, I contacted via my email thread from the original booking asking if I could make payment on my room earlier. A link was sent to me and was very easy to use. I then responded to the email thread advising that the payment was made, and I had a very prompt response from your team advising that payment was received and your system updated . ( All evidence attached) As I was part of the bridal party on Saturday, I was unable to be there when it was time to check in as we were getting photos on the grounds. When we make our way down, my partner informs me that he was told he can't check in as payment hadn't been made. He then came to me where i was able to send him a picture of the payment, successful receipt, and also the email thread to be then told he was still unable to check in. The hotel was very busy due to a wedding of 150 and what I will say is that it was very embarrassing for him to be told payment wasn't made. Again, as I said between out meal cake cutting and first dance, I was unable to get up to the hotel until i fulfilled my maid of honour duties. So, at 10.10pm i walked to the main desk there was no one there. There was a staff member sitting on the sofa at the front door with headphones and an I pad. Upon waiting a few minutes, I had to approach him. He went and got the bar manager, and this took another 5 minutes. Instead of my partner speaking, I did explain the scenario, and could we please check in. He was told no note had been left he wasn't sure what to do. My partner at this point was slightly irate explaining it's now 10 20 pm. we have paid £170 pounds, and we still have no room. Your staff member then used the words because uour maid of honour ill take your word you've paid even though i also showed evidence. I was made to feel like a favour was being done when, indeed, this was no favour. Whilst my partner tried to explain why we are frustrated, your staff member proceeded to answer his mobile phone again. This should have waited until I was dealt with. He then grabbed a piece of paper from printed scribbled things done made me sign my name, the conversation then proceeding in his saying well " if you dont want your room dont take it". I've worked in many customer service roles, including at the management level, and I felt like this was not the best Yous had to offer. Upon going to c

We were married in Beech Hill November 2022 and we couldn’t recommend it enough to future couples! We had a forest ceremony - which was simply magical. The team at Beech Hill were simply amazing, nothing was ever too much trouble. A special shout out to Roisin, her experience shines through and still months later the guests comment on how fun and personable she was - she also made sure we as a couple took a beat during the day to absorb everything - all the little details and the super relaxed and fun atmosphere absolutely made our day! The food is extraordinary - if you really want to blow your guests away with incredible food choices then this is the venue for you! The accommodation is perfect - so comfortable and clean! It is also super pet friendly, which was a massive factor in our day. Our two dogs joined us for the ceremony, photos and the speeches! Then they even stayed with us that night in our Bridal Suite. Nowhere was off limits, all the staff were so kind to them and they were so welcomed. It was amazing! The breakfast the next morning was superb and the views around the house from the conservatory were just stunning. All in all we can’t thank the team at Beech Hill enough for such an incredible experience, from start to finish they made us feel like royalty - they are so quick to respond to questions and they will ensure you get the best experience from the food tasting right up till the big day. Absolutely incredible venue!

I trust this review will be one the hotel was expecting, and which prospective wedding couples deserve to know. Other reviews appear to corroborate our experience also. We approached the hotel as a newly engaged couple. We booked a wedding show around on 6/2/22, and spent some time there with one of the managing directors going through the packages and viewing the hotel and grounds. We are from Derry and made a point of telling him that we did not require anything other than the venue; as we are a local family with no travelling guests we did not require any rooms. We mentioned this a few times at our show around. We left that day to consider the cost and decided within that week to go ahead and book it, knowing that £1000 booking fee was payable to hold our date. There was certainly a feeling of pressure to do this within a short space of time or we would lose our date. We made an appointment to pay and when we did turn up and the payment was taken, we received only an email of the receipt and no contract. The contract came 5 days later. When it did, it was worded quite ambiguously i.e. it states rooms not booked by the wedding couple would be released for sale to the general public. The Beech Hill have since confirmed they are not open to the general public. It also stated a minimum number of rooms were needing to be booked, varying depending on the day of your wedding. Ours was a weekend wedding and we discovered that 15 rooms must be booked. Considering our lengthy conversation with the MD we were gobsmacked at learning that we would be liable to pay these costs ourselves as we certainly did not expect our guests to absorb the costs. We were panicked at having paid them money and having signed a contract obligating us further. We confronted the hotel and eventually (after some delays in exchange emails) they offered to waiver the room charges. At this point, we totally lost trust from the wilful neglect of the facts relating to our contract and we asked to cancel and have our money refunded on the basis of misrepresentation of the contract. They cancelled but would not give us our money back. I reported the situation to Trading Standards who guided to small claims court. During this time, the Beech Hill were given ample opportunity to do the right thing, but they saw no justification in refunding us. We successfully sued them at small claims court and were awarded a return of our £1000 on 8/11/22. Their contract was deemed to be unclear and lacking transparency in court. We have only just been paid the money back today 14/12/22, incidentally 1 day after we posted a Notice of Intention to Enforce an order. This will obviously not go ahead now, but it speaks to the character of the business. We booked it on the merit of the previous owners work and the reputation it once had. We quickly learned that it is not the business it once was, which is a pity because it used to be a beautiful place to visit. We were at no point offered an apol

We got married here in July 2022 and it was such a fantastic experience. All of the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough. We have 2 small children and I was worried about the walk down the aisle with them but the guys were brilliant came down to the woodland area and kept them busy whilst we took photos. The woodland area itself is what made us want to get married here, it's magical and we had the best weather made our day perfect. Also the food was beautiful so many guests have told us since how good the food was. Before the wedding I had lots of emails and calls back and forth with the guys who were all so helpful and out my mind at rest. Just a fantastic experience and we would love to do it all over again.

We got married in August this year 2022. I write this review because I wish I had read it when I was looking for a venue for our wedding. I regret having done it at the Beech Hill. Thank God, our celebrant, our baker, our florist and our musician all were very professional, and our guests made sure our day was very special but dealing with the venue management since the contract was signed was a disaster. First you make the prepayment and then they send you a contract without much detail. One of the points of the contract is that you must book hotel rooms as well (10 in our case), but the price of the rooms is only sent after, and believe me, it is very high (about 150 to 250 pounds). The values are abusive and of course none of our guests wanted to stay and pay that price. In the end, we invited some friends to stay overnight, and paid the bill, because we were kindly threatened with having the event cancelled if we didn't pay everything before the wedding week. Communicating with what we thought was the events team was very stressful because there wasn't a person to accompany us from the start. Several people read your email, several respond, and it seems that there is no internal communication. We had to repeat the information and ask questions to different people, who gave us different answers. We have emails with 6 different people, and it was very confusing and unprofessional. By the way, our contract was from our choice The Absolute Package, which includes scones and short breads as you can see in the picture, and they never served them for our guests. When I asked the manager during the reception, she told me that it was because they served brownies instead (we were never asked about if we wanted brownies instead of scones and shortbread and our international guests were really looking forward to try them). But believe me, none of our guests saw or tasted a brownie in the reception!!! Also, we were charged for inflation increasing (this was on august). So, in the end, they charged us for more than the contracts said and gave us less. I hope you think twice if you want to make there such an important event as your wedding. The 3 stars are because of the beauty of the grounds and the staff on the wedding day (not management!!), especially Alina.

Nothing was too much trouble and everything went so smoothly. Would like to give a special shout out to Trevor who was fantastic on the day, he really kept us calm and was also a fantastic master of ceremonies. Thank you everyone as all the staff are brilliant.

We got married on 23/07 at Beech Hill. Cora, Benjamin and Roisin were amazing. They let us leave our stuff the day beforehand and took time to run through the day with us. It was raining on the morning of our wedding and they handled everything so that we could get married in the forest. It was completely stress free and smooth. The food was exceptional and our guests haven't stopped talking about it since - portions were generous and everyone served in unison at each table. Waiting staff were excellent - alongside Roisin who was extremely professional. The night manager guided everyone safely to the bus during the down pour and kept the marquee open for family to finish the night off. The following morning the high standard of food and hospitality continued with a lovely breakfast and calm atmosphere. We had our perfect wedding day! Martin and Máire
