Redgate House Bed & Breakfast

Elisha couldn't have been any more friendly, welcoming and helpful. She even ironed my husband's shirt. The bed was really comfy. You have a sitting room with a real fire for relaxing in. The breakfast was enormous and delicious. It's a quick drive to a free car park in Derry

I booked Redgate House at the last minute, as I was flying over to Derry from England to attend a unexpected funeral. On arrival, Eilish gave me such a warm, friendly welcome, helping me understand how I could get around Derry, to visit the people I needed to see and the church for the funeral. Eilish also gave me helpful directions to find somewhere good to eat. She also ironed my shirt, doing such a superb job, that I thought it was a brand new one! I said I wouldn't have breakfast the following day, as I needed to leave very early, however, Eilish got up well before a reasonable breakfast time and made me some lovely food. Redgate House is a lovely house, in a quiet location on the outskirts of Derry. My room was lovely - but the best thing was the superb hospitality shown to me by Eilish - she was amazing.

If you arrive or planning a trip then this is the only place you want too stay.you are met by eilish the most friendly and warm welcoming lady who runs this place nothing is too much trouble for her the rooms are amazing and comfy amazing showers then when you wake the breakfast is brilliant I have stayed in lots of places and this is my favourite place ...a hidden gem in derry look forward too seeing you soon eilish thank you ....Neil and.harry scooter boys

Five star accommodation and five star host. Beautifully furnished large house with great views of the city. Only a short taxi ride to the city centre. Highly recommended when staying in Derry. Eilish a very attentive host with a warm welcome and I would definitely go back.

My guide, John, and I stayed a couple of nights at Redgate perched above the River Foyle west bank, and found it very pleasant. We particularly enjoyed the sweeping views across to hills and countryside. Eilish, the hostess, is local (from Donegal), sociable, and will provide any needed information. Also, at our request she prepared special low calorie breakfasts which were delicious and satisfying. Redgate is a nice choice, much better than a standard hotel.

We stayed in redgate over the weekend. We had a brilliant time. The house is beautiful and Eilish really made the whole experience. She went above and beyond throughout the stay, met us late that night with our room key as we were running late and provided a lovely home cooked breakfast the next morning. The rooms were lovely with a large walk in shower and the entire house is very nicely decorated. Overall we had a lovely weekend we felt very welcomed from the minute we met and the whole experience was so relaxing. Thanks again Imelda and Tom.

Stayed at Redgate House with 3 friends for a Christmas night away in December. Eilish welcomed us into her beautiful home with a big smile, coffee and home made biscuits. It was so warm and cosy in the sitting room we didn't want to move to get ready for our night out on the town. Our rooms were beautiful with a big walk in shower and the most comfortable beds. The whole house is just gorgeous, adorned with many photos of Eilish's beloved family and even a glass feature with all her children's names and handprints. It was December so the house had many Christmas trees decorated and despite its size it was very homely. The breakfast spread that greeted us the next morning was out of this world! Eilish had laid the table with dishes of fresh fruit, orange juice, muesli, yoghurt and a selection of croissants, scones and pastries. Then she made us a cooked breakfast! It was all delicious and washed down with as much tea and coffee you like. Eilish is the perfect hostess and it's clear that she just loves having guests. She was so warm and friendly, we were all bowled over by her. We would all stay with Eilish again in a heartbeat. We didn't want to leave. Maybe a summer night next time to get to appreciate the beautiful scenery and views. Thanks again Eilish xx

We stayed in Redgate house for one night on 29th Oct ‘22. The lady of the house Eilish gave us a very warm welcome , the house is beautiful, our room was lovely , nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed , beautiful en suite shower room with great walk in shower. Breakfast was served in the resident’s living come dining room , lovely fresh fruit bowls, yogurt, cereal’s , brown bread and warm pastries all set out on the dining table. Eilish took breakfast orders I had the best poached eggs , just perfect , my husband had an Ulster fry. We were very happy with everything and will definitely stay with Eilish again. Anne W.

Redgate is a stunning property and Eilish is one of the warmest and most welcoming hostesses we met; very charming, yet not at all intrusive. This is our second time staying at Redgate and our room ensuite is just as stylish and tastefully decorated as the one we stayed in the first time, as well as very clean. Breakfast was so enjoyable we didn’t realize we had spent half our morning lazing at the table in the magnificent dining lounge room and eventually copping on that we had a million things to do downtown! We highly recommend this place and will not hesitate to visit it again!
