Clean, friendly, centralized, breakfast included, safe, pet friendly and easyily accessible to the places you want to visit. Our favorite nice reastaurant is The Depot and a great casual restaurant with good beers is the Lost Roo while a nice friendly brewpub, North Jetty Brewing sits right across the street from our favorite breakfast restaurant, 42nd Street Cafe.

We were told upon arrival that we had a preassigned room and couldn't change! We like quite rooms and typically try to get a top floor room as we don't like having someone above us walking around. Our assigned room was a first-floor room just around the corner from check-in, next to the elevator and across the hall from the laundry! Not very quiet!

King suite needs updating, furniture is old and mis-matched, stain on carpet, TV had to be reset by front desk, small bath mat slipped as I took a shower, causing a fall and injury to my knee. Not up to other Best Western standards. First time in decades we've had a bad experience staying at a Best Western facility.

Very accommodating staff. I forgot a few items and they were quick to provide. Clean and a great value. Right in the middle of Long Beach. I will have to say it was above expectations. Breakfast was adequate and standard like most free breakfasts.
