This is an absolutely gem of a hotel just yards from a bus stop which takes you to East Midlands airport terminal building in minutes. I stayed here before an early morning flight to Riga Latvia and was impressed. I stayed in one of the recently renovated rooms which was spotless. The hotel is undergoing extensive renovation which didn’t interfere with my stay at all! The evening meal was delicious! The only issue was the receptionist was also serving behind the bar and sometimes it took a while to be served a drink.

The rooms are lovely, clean and comfortable, everything you need. Staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant menu is good and the food is good too, quick and efficient service, again the staff can't do enough for you.. It was a stop over to go to the airport in the early morning..a good start to the holiday.

The staff are lovely and cope with a great deal that isn’t right here with charm and warmth. But whoever owns this franchise - and Whitbread - you need to get your act together. This is a building site. You don’t warn customers of the refurbishment. Construction noise starts at 0745 daily - including weekends. The car park is part taken over by construction offices and builders vans. The water switched off constantly. The kitchen either can’t cope or is under-staffed. No hot breakfast options for days, a limited evening menu. No reduction in meal deal costs despite lack of full menu. You’re either a hotel or a building site - make your mind up which one and stop the cynical, money grabbing nonsense of charging full daily rates for a hotel that won’t be ready for at least another month. Until it’s sorted - avoid. Come back in June when the long suffering staff can look after you properly. Shame on you Whitbread and your ‘45 days to respond to complaints’.

I had previously emailed ti book a table for dinner - never got a reply. When we arrived we were told that a group of 20 had booked in and it was full. We did manage to get a table at 18:15, however the meal was terrible. My fish and chips was overcooked and my wife's gammon was half raw. We did get a discount and a free drink. Also our room was freezing -12c and the air con did not work. I had to complain to reception who then remotely switched on the heating, which eventually warms up the room. We will stay somewhere else next time we go to EMA.

We always stay Premier Inn if our flight next day is very early and enjoy our stay as we know the level of care and accommodation is very good. However this time we were very disappointed. The hotel was full with only 2 staff at front of house who were overwhelmed. They managed to smile and did excellent job under pressure of demand. But is was the guests who sufffered as the wait for service took so long. Also the pay and display parking machine is outside and takes its time for ticket issue. Be prepared if the weather is bad or cold. Dress accordingly! Also look for the discount code otherwise the charge is £8. All in all a very disappointing stay.

Absolutely lovely staff, could not fault them. Super helpful and always on hand. Building under construction due to a renovation and therefore there is some slight noise disturbance during the day, but no issues in the evening/night. Would have been nice to know prior to booking that there was construction going on, however, due to being out during the days I was not particularly bothered. Parking is not free, however they provide guests a discount code. Room was clean and purposeful however slightly outdated(however the staff informed me that all rooms were being renovated and those were next on the list). Food wise, I ate breakfast and lunch in their facilities every day. Good choice on the menu of both food and drink. Breakfast very varied and lovely. Cannot fault, variety of pastries, fruit, yogurt, cereals, as well as on the order hot food and porridge. Dinner food caught me by surprise. Food was hot and fresh. To a higher standard than I expected for a Premier Inn, fish and chips were proper fish and had a nice light crispy batter unlike many places with thick soggy batter and blah fish. Only comment would be lacking in veg, they said they were having stocking issues so this is potentially not blame-worthy on them but after 4 nights eating in the restaurant I did find myself looking forward to a plate of veg back home. Overall would highly recommend and happily return, employees seem to be happy and care about their job which is refreshing to see in a chain.

We stayed here before a flight from East Midlands. We've stayed in Premier Inns all over the UK but have never come across one where EVERY member of staff was so helpful, professional and friendly. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms....fantastic

1 night stay for a work trip. Hotel is a little dated compared to other Premier Inn's I've stayed in but clean and everything you needed there. Service from reception to restaurant was stand-out and simply brilliant, so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Billy was the waiter during dinner and was brilliant. Food was very nice in the evening and the continental breakfast. Would certainly use again.
