The rooms are lovely and surprising large with an en-suite plus everything you expect to find in a AA 4 star rated. The rooms are separate to the pub and have their own parking space directly outside the room. The Garden Room serves lovely meals with a menu that would cater for most people. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely return and I highly recommend it.

Always stay here when visiting family. The rooms are lovely, the staff are welcoming and the food is great!! Arrived in time for lunch - sandwiches which came with chips and a little mug of soup and a nice bottle of red wine!! Breakfast was delicious, brilliant sausages and bacon - yum! The manager/owner was very friendly and originally came from our neck of the woods, so we had plenty to talk about. Will definitely be back when we next visit family!!

Great experience. Well furnished and modern room with up to date on-suite toilet/shower. Comfortable beds, quiet surroundings, park right outside your room. Also had dinner and breakfast, both of a very good standard. Fresh local sourced ingredients. Local brewed ales. Definitely will stay again.

would recommend a stay here, warm welcome and check-in and comfortable and spotless room. ( only slight negative is wi-fi didn't work) Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of cooked options Also had dinner in the pub which was very good and I highly recommend.

This was a delightful find. A very different establishment, with cottage like rooms, were tastefully furnished, providing the high level required at an affordable price. The well appointed restaurant offered an eclectic mix of fayre. Well cooked, well presented. Perfect. A great find which I highly recommend.

We are regular visitors to the The Royal Oak after discovering it a few years ago. We enjoy both the week day meals and the Sunday roasts. This visit was week day. Delicious meal, very friendly and helpful staff. Look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you. xx

Stayed with my partner with our one year old son after visiting the great central railway. Excellent all round, couldn’t fault our stay. Good sized rooms. Food in the evening and breakfast was perfect. All very reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

Congratulations to the whole Royal Oak team. We have just visited our daughter and granddaughters and, as usual, stayed at the RO, this time for two nights including dinner both nights. As usual, everything was exceptional. The bedrooms are just ideal. Dinner on both nights was great as was breakfast both mornings. The staff are efficient professional and extremely pleasant. There is no equal nearby and our next visits are already booked. Highly recommended!
