Beautiful little place, friendly staff and amazing food! Honestly I was expecting standard pub grub but the food was sensational! The rooms had everything we could need and the bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve slept in! Thanks for a wonderful stay, hopefully be back soon!

A very relaxing stay ( apart from watching the football) whilst visiting Longleat . Great room, well appointed, nicely decorated - bar and restaurant traditional with no kids allowed at the Bar - Excellent! Dinner great value and brought swiftly with attentive and pleasant staff. Breakfast possibly the best full english i have had in the last 10 years. Landlord Steve very accommodating allowing me to watch the football on his phone and bought me a pint! Will stay again soon! ALAW.

Thanks, the room was lovely, the cosmetics fantastic, but the light behind the curtain was very bright and shone above and below the curtain… didn’t help sleep! Otherwise great, thanks!

My friends and I had a lovely meal at The George this evening. I had the flat bread with chicken …. Wow what a lovely plate of delicious chicken salad on flat bread. The portion was generous the salad crispy and the chicken tender and juicy. My friends enjoyed the prawn flat bread and calamari tapas. The service was excellent. Henry the assistant manager took great care of us making sure we had our drinks etc. it was truly a wonderful experience and I’ll be going there again soon. Especially in summer when we can sit in the garden!

A massive thank you to Steve and all the staff for organising the most wonderful wedding reception for us on our special day. Everything was perfect, our own space, excellent food, nothing was too much trouble and the staff a credit to Steve for being so attentive and great, always smiling 😊 The honeymoon suite was also super comfortable and much needed after the day. Nothing to fault, just a perfect day. Thank you so much from the Bride and Groom. See you all soon!

I have just had a fantastic meal with my family including my 2 year old granddaughter. I can honestly say the food was exceptional. The staff were very polite and helpful. It was a very enjoyable and relaxing time and we were made to feel very welcome. We will be back!

We stopped off for some food on our way home to Bath.The tapas was delicious a great variety of flavours and spices,complements to the chef! and the staff were very warm and friendly especially Jamie who made us feel welcome.We will be back again!
