A bit disappointing, room next door to the loft and you could hear everyone coming and going. Breakfast was tasty but did not contain all items advertised.

Very comfy bed food terrble food prices £10.50 for one scotch egg £19 for butter chicken but it was spicy £41:50 for steak with a. Sauce and onion rings Brekfast some parts undercooked and some Over same price for full English as porridge and having to choose between nuts honey or fruit absolutely not worth it food prices and standard spoilt this spa break Also not enough seating area in pool Towels everywhere

Unfortunately, this hotel is really tatty. The lift smells of damp and our room had tired decor and stained, worn carpets. We didn't use the spa. The pub next door had nice food but was over-priced. The staff were friendly and helpful and the building looks nice from the outside at least, but couldn't recommend as it's sure to disappoint.

We used this as a stop off on the way to Scotland, the building is beautiful and the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the room was clean and large if a little dated but for the £98 we paid you really can't fault this place for just the room alone. We didn't use the spa or facilities but based on price and service we would return, we both had a really good night's sleep. If you want a pristine spa hotel you would be looking at paying 4 times this a night! Really good value.

Avoid** Stayed at this hotel twice. First time it was okay, food was decent in the Dobson restaurant. So we thought we’d return. Last time was dreadful. We arrived to find out the Dobson restaurant was closed. They failed to mention this when we booked a table. Upon arrival, this wasn’t mentioned either. So once we’d checked in, relaxed for a bit in the dated spa, we got ready for dinner. Walk over to find the Dobson restaurant closed. Spoke to reception who then told us we would be dining in the on site pub instead. Not ideal when we had travelled over 2 hours specifically for the restaurant. Ate at the pub and no surprises there, it was weatherspoons style food for premium prices. decided to go back for a few drinks at the bar and shock horror, that was also closed! Which all staff had failed to mention yet again. Staff seem like they’d rather be somewhere else with very little in the way of hospitality or customer service skills. Avoid this dated hotel.

We had an amazing stay. The staff were fantastic , and the hotel is beautiful, surrounded by stunning grounds. We slept like a log every night , and the bed was so comfortable . Breakfast was amazing too , one of the best hotel breakfasts ive ever had. Unfortunately the corridors and rooms are a bit tired around the edges and needing a little tlc , the carpets are getting a bit threadbare and the corrodors smell a bit stale
