Fairfield by Marriott in southwest Longmont, CO, is a 4-story building surrounded by commercial parking lots and has a distant view of the Divide, including Longs Peak. Our king guest room was functional. There was just a small wardrobe and small dresser. The walk-in shower was well-designed although a soap container had become detached from the wall. There was no bathtub. In the guest room there was only a single chair, so the second member of a couple had to sit on the bed (or on the toilet) or otherwise stand. The visible thermostat on the wall didn't work at all, so we called down and were told that the PTAC unit in the room was operational and would provide heat. There is a mini-fridge. Internet connection is free for BonVoy members. Check-out time is noon, which was convenient. The buffet breakfast area is large and the variety of things to eat and drink was good. An adjacent outside dining area was not set up. There was only a tiny receptacle for used paper plates and utensils. There is a small exercise room and a pool/jacuzzi room, but the pool is very small and was crowded with shouting children in the evening (though there is an hour of "adult time" from 9 to 10 pm and the pool was empty late morning). The hot tub was closed for maintenance. The location is near the Diagonal Highway that goes to Boulder. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but several restaurants are within a short walk, including a good, large Italian restaurant. Free parking lots surround the hotel. Staff were friendly. --
