Gefallen: Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Das Hotel ist sehr ruhig gelegen und macht einen sehr gepflegten Gesamteindruck. Es wirkt alles sehr neu. Unser Zimmer war modern und weitgehend zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Es gibt ausreichend viel Personal. Die Tiefgarage, die gleichzeitig Fahrradgarage ist, ist sehr praktisch, allerdings fehlen Lademöglichkeiten für Ebikes. Nicht gefallen: Das Personal spricht und versteht kein Wort deutsch. Man sollte zumindest genug Niederländisch oder Englisch sprechen. Für diese Hotelkategorie wirkte die Kleidung der Kellner ungepflegt. Die Küche ist gerade mal ok. Angeschlagene Glaskaraffen passen ebenso nicht ins Bild. Die Priorität des Hotels liegt ganz klar bei Seminarveranstaltungen, was dazu führt, dass sogar die für das Frühstück genutzten Räumlichkeiten teilweise wegen einer Veranstaltung wegfallen. Völlig unpraktisch ist die vollständige Bekiesung aller Lauf- bzw. Gehflächen im Außenbereich. Damenschuhe mit Absätzen sind auf diesem Untergrund eher schlecht geeignet. Im Zimmer würde ich mir Aufhängemöglichkeiten für Hand- und/oder Badetücher wünschen.

First and foremost, this is NOT the review I was planning to write. Everything was very nice until the last day of my stay. One day before my check-out, I charged all my electronic devices, left cables on my bed and went to the conference. Upon return, I saw the room cleaned but noticed only at night that my Apple Watch cable disappeared. I searched everywhere & couldn’t find it. Everything else was there (documents, jewellery etc.). Being 100% sure the cable was on my bed BEFORE room cleaning, I spent 2 hours clarifying the issue with staff in the morning. The most ‘exciting’ things happened at the reception. I was offered to be contacted in case the cable is found. I explained that I’m not satisfied with that and asked for the management. A young woman representing the management started our conversation defining the problem as “you’ve LOST your cable” (NO, I HAVEN’T “LOST” my cable, I LEFT IT ON MY BED, NOT the same). She continued accusing me, indicating it’s actually all my fault: - I probably “lost the cable somewhere else, maybe it’ll be found in the hotel”, - I “should have put my stuff in the safe” (MAYBE. But even if I had done it, it would NOT have crossed my mind to put an Apple Watch cable in the SAFE! Maybe I should have put my whole suitcase in the small safe as nothing is safe in this hotel anyway?!) - When I asked for compensation of the cable cost (not so cheap - 40 Euro), she reacted “but do you suggest that someone STOLE your cable?”. I responded I don’t suggest that but I don’t think it’s fair that I left the cable in the room, don’t find it anymore and must pay for it from my own pocket… - “Who knows what happened in the room, not sure the cable was there at all” - so the hotel won’t compensate the loss. Very convenient to say to avoid any responsibility, maybe it’s not the first time when it happens? Overall, I find the way this management staff member spoke to me outrageous & unacceptable. I hope it’s not hotel’s policy to deal with such issues like that.

I booked this hotel through Hotels.com using my tesco reward points. So I only had to pay taxes. I stayed from Wed-Mon in the middle of July. I was sent the long way around to this hotel by google maps but when I said to the receptionist that I wouldn’t be able to walk that way at night she corrected me and it was only a short climb up the steps to the train station. I arrived at 11am and was just expecting to use the toilet and leave my luggage. But Estella said my room was ready and so I went straight up to the 9 floor. My room was right over the train lines but with the windows shut you did not hear them. A huge bed, lovely shower and a fridge. The bed was very comfortable. I needed to get to De Meern to see friends and Estella pointed me in the right direction for a lovely walk which took 60 minutes in the lovely countryside. Breakfast was great and and even though the hotel was full there were no queues for breakfast. Throughout my stay all staff were kind and polite. My only negatives and they are so small was when I asked for more regular coffee reception didn’t have again and the cup holder on the ice machine was nearly always empty. Overall I have had a excellent stay and I will be back.

Great Hilton near Amersfoort. Rooms are great and with some excellent views over the Golf Course (from your Balcony 😎) Rooms are spacious and have a modern decor. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast is good (apart from the Scrambled egg which is a bit hard/over-cooked 😕) and the Restaurant has a nice chilled feeling, so a great way to start the morning. The staff are really helpful (I forgot my Adapter and they found one for me 👍). The hotel is a bit out of the way, so you'll really need a car, but it's seclusion is what makes it so good 👍

Not quite sure why there are so many negative reviews calling this place unacceptable, for the price you pay you’re definitely getting your moneys worth and some. The male young receptionist was friendly at check in and guided us to our room (although he didn’t know some answers about basic questions about the area, such as he incorrectly told us the wrong time for the last trams, he was very kind but maybe the staff could be told some answers to the most common questions). The junior suite was extremely spacious, had a lovely bathroom, lots of mirrors which was nice, large bed and lots of light windows overlooking the dock. The room was fab, however like some other reviews state sometimes there was a mysterious odour, particularly on the last day, but it wasn’t unbearable. Could definitely do with some harder mattresses which would definitely improve everyone’s experience but I still slept perfectly. Location is perfect for the price, only a 14min tram away from Amsterdam Centraal. The coffee pods and machine in the room were nice but could also put some biscuits there too which would be amazing. Maybe needs a repaint of the room but it’s safe to say i’d definitely stay again

This was our first stay at this location, but it certainly won't be our last. We had a bit of a panic during the day about arrival times as trains were horribly delayed, however the reception team were kind and reassuring throughout. The hotel is located next to a tram stop (take Metro to Zuid and then tram 5 to Kronenburg) for easy access to the city centre and the room was clean and comfortable. We didn't have breakfast, and there is no bar or restaurant at this hotel, however a range of drinks and snacks are available at reception and it is possible to order in food. Reception staff were also most helpful with printing off our travel documents for the next day.

The room we were given was one for people with a disability, which meant it was very spacious. The decor was nice, the beds comfortable, although a little soft. The bathroom was also spacious and had everything a disabled person would need. It didn't bother us we were staying in this room. We didn't have breakfast but had a coffee which was good. Because this room is on the ground floor just behind reception and next to the breakfast room we did experience noise. There is a 24-hour coffee and tea making facility in the breakfast room which is great. However, when we were staying, there were people in there even in the middle of the night, as we could hear the chairs being used (scraping sound which was very audible in our room). That got worse when breakfast service really started in the morning. It made sleeping a little challenging. We would stay here again, but would definitely ask for a room on a higher floor and further away from the breakfast room. Check in and out was quick and easy and staff were friendly.

The first two nights they refused to light the heat despite the temperature outdoor was 11°. The hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is 30 minutes from the centre of the tram and the price is expensive, so I don't recommend it in any way.

The hotel was fine, but I agree with the previous reviewer that there is an extractor fan on all the time which is a bit annoying. I quite like Almere itself. It's modern but not depressing like so many newly built areas in Britain. The main problem is the cost of going to and from Amsterdam each day on the train. I was told that you can buy a ticket for 3 days on the train. You can't buy one at Almere Centrum station. You can't buy one at the ticket machines at Amsterdam Centraal station. Or the information kiosks. There is supposed to be a special kiosk at Centraal but I didn't manage to find it. Another thing is that the coffee often tastes horrible. I didn't have coffee at this hotel but at several places in the Netherlands I did. They don't seem to use fresh milk. I don't know if it's UHT or sterilised or maybe some kind of coffee creamer. If you go to Dunkin Donuts though you can choose fresh milk. There is one in Almere and a few in Amsterdam. Or buy a half litre in a supermarket and take it with you if you go to a cafe.
