City Center Hotel Los Angeles

It is reasonable price and convenient to go downtown if you need to just use shower and bed. A heater was too old and I could not read setting direction. WiFi was too slow even for browsing websites. The room light was suddenly off once. All room is faced to the outside hallway. Hair dryer was available if you ask at the front. Water had no issue.

Good location for travelers who plan to use metro to get around LA. The hotel itself is quite old. If you're looking to save some money, this hotel is an ok choice.

Checked in around 9 p.m on june 26th 2026 just for the night because I was going to universal in the morning with the family. We were given rooms 206 and 207 i stayed in 207. Upon arrival I noticed how awful the place was an how ruined down it is but we dropped our luggage an went to the hardrock cafe for dinner as we had drove all night an were hungry. We got back to the room an got to looking around my window was missing pieces an you can put your hand in my room through the window at any given time an there was NO deadbolt or anything in the door. Had to go get front desk because we couldnt get room 206 to ipen so he came up to help an you jad to jiggle the door just right to get in... We stayed up worried all night because you hear homeless people and loud music outside an every person who walked by my room. It felt borderline unsafe! Not to mention you had to pick the door up an lift it up to even close it an then again to use the unsecured lock on it. You have an alleyway behind the hotel directly behind your room with a whole row of tents from unhoused sleeping there an leaning over like they been using a substance. Getting to what we saw inside the room is worse. What looks like blood stains on the headboard behind you. The bed was stained disgustingly I didnt even wanna lay on it afraid to know how it looked under the sheets. The fridge was leaking an peeling at the top literally falling apart looks from the 70s. The pipes in restroom were rusted an gross I feel like you need a tetanus shot if you shower. It had a disgusting smell of musty an old furniture. The sign saying no refunds at check in is insane and I think anyone checking in should demand to see the room before paying but I doubt any of their rooms look any better! The condition even outside of the place was run down an looks like it should just be condemned. The fact of no refunds when people cant sleep in their dirty nasty rooms an feel unsafe with broken windows an such is going to get a report to the health inspector. Im going to report this place to the health department. Its that bad!!! The pool outside is unusable an has a bunch of stained dirty mattresses just piled outside of it. The place is a dump and they over charge you horribly. I am also going to possibly dispute the charge because they refuse refunds and the place was honestly so disgusting an so unsafe feeling I would of rather slept in my car in a walmart parking lot. Could of rented an air bb for the price they charged and it was far more than just disappointing. Never again will I come to this place an ill do all I can to prevent others from suffering the same mistake we made.
