Elaine's Hollywood Bed & Breakfast

We were only in LA for a couple of days so decided to focus on the Hollywood area. Elaine’s is less than a mile from the end of the walk of fame, and gives easy access to their and sunset boulevard. Buses run along both roads that are perpendicular and the street itself is a lovely little suburb with accompanying neighbourhood watch. We had a large room with balcony/deck, which gave a lovely area of outside space. Breakfast was a straightforward cereal/bread/pastry affair, but all great quality and tasty. The room was clean with bedding changed for the second night. Space for free parking was helpful. Elaine was friendly and gave some helpful recommendations. Only negative was the annoyingly typical American low toilet. And nothing to do with Elaine’s directly, but watch for the scammers at the Chinese theatre!!

What a brilliant find this was, can't recommend this place enough. Great location 15 minute easy walk to the Hollywood walk of fame, Graumans theatre and Ripley's and a short drive to sunset boulevard. Elaine is such a welcoming interesting lady with amazing stories to tell and she's a fountain of knowledge on places to go. The accommodation was clean, tidy, quiet, but very, very quirky right up our street. Thank you for making our stay so magical, if we were to go back we would definitely be staying there. 1

My daughter & I stayed for 4 enjoyable nights! We loved the eclectic decor & the very personal touch that Elaine brings to her B&B. Breakfast was a delicious feast & set us up for the day! Elaine is friendly & offers tips & advice. And Dolly (the sweet dog) was a lovely bonus & added to the homely charm. It is well-placed for walking around W Hollywood. It was the perfect place for us. Again a great stay with Elaine & Dolly (dog, alas lovely Bijou passed before I could see her again) stayed in my fav (dark blue) room as a light sleeper even tho looks onto road is v quiet, good size bathroom, clean, great breakfasts as usual of cereals, diff breads, pastries, fruit, ham & cheese etc, Elaine is a great host & took me to farmers' market & couple nice cafes with Dolly on days not catching up with Usa pals. Good location for Walk of Fame, Sunset Blvd, B/Hills etc, she has driveway & street parking, good for buses or Metro too,

The bed and breakfast was very dark and clutter everywhere and wasn’t clean furniture is very old and dated and when we arrived it wasn’t organised and wanted to move our stuff around while we was out. We chose not to stay there then the lady came driving down the road to find me wouldn’t advise staying there.

Elaine’s was highly recommended to me, my husband, my sister and brother-in-law by my cousin as a place where he has enjoyed staying whenever he comes to LA. So, we knew that it would likely be a nice place to stay. However, we didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as we did! This is a little gem of a Bed and Breakfast! First of all, it is nestled in a lovely, quiet area of Hollywood with small arts and crafts style houses lining the streets. Elaine’s is a beautiful house inside and out. Our room was clean and filled with light. Elaine has travelled the world and you can see evidence of this all around the house with beautiful objects collected from many places. Unfortunately, we did not meet Elaine, but very fortunately we met Julia, who was hosting. We really enjoyed great conversations with Julia as well as multiple suggestions for places to eat and interesting things to see. Julia provided lovely breakfasts each day. A big part of my enjoyment of spending time in LA had to do with staying at this lovely place. Highly recommended!
