Sheraton Properties in Los Angeles

The hotel looked a bit outdated from the outside. Check-in was super quick—barely any words exchanged. But at night, I realized the plane noise was really loud. The next day, when I went to the Club for breakfast, my key card didn’t work. So I went to the dining area on the first floor, but they said I had to pay. When I asked the front desk, they said that as a Platinum member, I should have breakfast access—but only on the 15th floor. I told them that no one had explained this at check-in, and plus, my card couldn’t even open the door. Seriously, what a mess... After arguing for a while, they reluctantly gave me two breakfast passes for the restaurant. But even the restaurant staff seemed unhappy about it. Sigh... next time, I might try the newer Westing instead.

The hotel itself is good, and the location is convenient. However, the downtown area isn't very safe. While the hotel's security is fine, there are a lot of homeless people nearby, so I'd advise against going out at night.

Did not feel properly welcomed by bar staff at “In the Mix” Bar was cluttered with previous guest glassware. Opposite side had bill folder on it. It was off putting so we sat at a high top. They did not have ingredients to make “Signature Cocktail” so I ordered a beer instead. It came with an insect in it.  Elevator bezel are missing and/or falling off. Ice machine room had holes in the wall.  What made the stay nice was the food and staff at The California’s. They were VERY friendly, we felt catered to and felt like a true guest.

Very remote, if you drive yourself, you can make do for one night.

The hotel location is good and the room was clean. However, during checkout at 8:30am, there was only one staff member at the counter. She was processing a check-in very slowly for the guest in front of me. When I informed her that I only needed to check out, she told me she would attend to me later. I ended up waiting for more than 10 minutes just to return my access card. When it was finally my turn, she told me that I could simply drop the card into the box. She could have informed me earlier instead of letting me wait unnecessarily in the queue.

The hotel is new and clean. The service staff is warm and humorous. The location is relatively safe. I stayed in two hotels in LA. Compared with the other one, Pasadena Couryard, this one is much better.

The hotel's location is pretty good, situated in the Chinese district with plenty of food options nearby. The cleanliness, service, and environment are a million times better than the hotel we stayed at in San Francisco – highly recommended! There's a small courtyard on the second floor, plus a pool and gym, which are lovely for a stroll. The housekeeping staff speaks Chinese, making communication quite convenient. The room also has an electric kettle, which is a nice touch. However, the hairdryer provided is very weak, and the one I brought couldn't be used, whether due to voltage or some other issue. The breakfast is just okay, not recommended. We chose to stay here for all 7 days of our trip to Los Angeles and it was very comfortable. We'll definitely choose this place again next time we visit LA! ⚠️ A USD 100 deposit is required per room upon check-in.

Sending children to school, visiting the surrounding area, and choosing food and accommodation are important factors that affect the experience. This hotel has a good location, clean rooms, and a good overall experience. It is the first choice for staying and will continue to patronize next time.
