Our second visit at this place. Returned to this place for one main reson, their Peruvian Ceviche from Equis, thanks to Erika for making probably about 6 of those orders. Our kids loved it too. So good. Recommend the Huevos Rancheros at el Barrio. Was nice to see Laura again, she is always very welcoming. Pedro will make you delicious moreritas at Candil. Delicious.

We read multiple reviews that mentioned subpar service at Zadun, but decided to stay because of our loyalty to Marriott. We’ve never had an unsatisfactory stay at a Ritz Carlton, so surely we figured the reviews were exaggerated, given this was a Reserve property. While the property grounds are beautiful, the negative reviews we read were unfortunately spot on. If your service expectations align with a Courtyard or Fairfield, you’ll be satisfied. But if you’re expecting top tier service, to go along with the top tier prices, you’ll likely leave extremely disappointed. Worse yet, if you have any issues arise during your stay, as we did, you’ll likely leave disgruntled and questioning your loyalty to the brand.

Like fine wine, Zadun just keeps getting better. We have stayed here all four years they have been open and love it more each year. Why? The restaurants have all improved immensely. Humo is now one of the best and the chef has perfected the wood-burning oven and amazing French Fries. El Barrio now offers themed dinners on most evenings and X features two weekly events that offer the freshest seafood and fish. More importantly, the staff is well focused on exceeding expectations. This has become even more important because so many properties charging high rates fail in this category. Service is amazing at the spa, restaurants, and gym. The beauty of the Zadun theme through natural vegetation has been enhanced now everything has had four years to grow so the resort is even more beautiful. And they respect both families and adults here as both spaces are far different. Overall, Cabo has more Forbes 5-Star properties than anywhere else in the world with the exception of Dubai and Macao so the competition is fierce. And unlike some resorts like Montage and Four Seasons, they charge decent prices for their accommodations and restaurants and include RT transfers, a huge plus. We will be back!

If you’re looking for luxury, this is the place! We had the most spectacular long weekend. The rooms were spacious, clean with ample amenities. The property is well kept and quant. The staff and service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Cocktails were always perfect and felt hand crafted. The food was average and very pricey. Humo for dinner was ridiculously overpriced and average. I can’t empathize the level of service we received. Thankfully minimal children (we left our 3 home) but not really a family resort, though I’m sure they welcome children with open arms. Looking forward to returning.

We had a fabulous anniversary stay at Zadun. Edgar and Mara were very responsive and attentive. They surprised us with so many “extras” that made our time there so special. They entire staff on the property was amazing. We will definitely return!

Quick review. Pros: Rooms were amazing. Totally worth it. Food was good...but probably not worth what they charge. Pools were excellent, and I thought service at the pools and beach was really good. Cons: Check in was a bad introduction. Got there at 1pm, were told our room would be ready by 2pm, and they reminded us 3pm was normal check in (we had early check in as a benefit and they knew when we were arriving). We ate lunch, and got a text saying the room would be ready at 2:30p. So walked around. Then got a text saying room ready at 3pm. So we show up at 3pm and they were "getting our bags now." For the next 30 minutes we saw other couples checking in and going straight to their rooms while we were in bagless limbo. Finally at 3:30p they got our bags and we went to our room. I really hate being price gouged. You know what you sign up for when you spend 1k on a room. You expect a really good room. And you get that here. But the little stuff...they just absolutely kill you on basic things. Wanna buy some sun bum sunblock? $60. fiji water? 17$. Oof. Take my money for rooms and food...but don't put salt in the wound on basics. 90 minute massage....$550.
