Stayed 5 nights in the One Bedroom Oceanview Penthouse Spa Suite. We think it was probably one of the best rooms on the property at the top of one of the buildings, commanding ocean views, and the only room, we were told, with our own private elevator! It was sublime. The property itself is perfect in every way. The service, headed up by a lead concierge or butler (in our case Sebastian), were only a text away with everything we needed during the trip. We spent 3 days by the pool and rented a cabana for extra privacy and space. The pool service was flawless and we were fawned over from start to finish. Dinner at Cucina Del Mar is a fabulous experience. Top notch food, service and the views are unparalleled. But beware it is expensive. Our dinners for 2 came to $400 one night and $500 the other, with tip and plenty of drinks of course. We went into town 1 day and found it had changed so much - and not in a charming way - in the last 30 years (the last time we were in Cabo) that we just stayed at the resort for the rest of time. Esparanza is a paradise, and downtown Cabo not so much. The Esperanze is a destination unto itself and you would be hard pressed to find fault with any of its offerings. The only downside is that it's pricey, but it's top shelf.
